Rockets not hitting target

Was just doing a bit of testing on my crow vs a set of hobgoblins and found that while orbiting and firing Javelin rockets at a hob II well within range, the rockets fly towards the target, then suddenly change direction, fly in some high speed bizarre pattern and vanish, and there's no damage done to the target.

I've also seen this happen with torps vs frigs and submitted that as an issue, but never heard anything back from ccp.

Is this still not a common enough problem to fix?

I Have fraps footage if any CCP devs want to view it.

I've seen this as well, firing HAMs from a Sacrilege. HAM range was 24km, target was at 22km, but the HAM would stop short ca 18km (flying in a straight line) and no damage would be registered.

I noticed this happening if I started shooting a target when it was truly out of range, and then moved into range while my launchers were still active. Stopping and restarting my launchers would fix the issue.

For me it was completely random, didn't matter what range I was when I started firing. I fired a load of volleys at the exact same range, about 1 in 10 volleys would hit, the rest would fly in a bizarre pattern as if the game can't calculate the trajectory so the rockets just fly off in to space.

Have just now recreated this bug reliably.

Orbiting a navy vexor at 20km with my crow. His warrior II's orbiting me at 1 - 2km, my rockets can not hit the drones. They simply bug out and disappear. When the drone slows down and stops orbiting or gets recalled, then the rockets might hit. But a majority of the time they simply do no damage.

To me this seems like a pretty big issue for a tackler being unable to hit drones that are well within range.

Submitted another bug report on this.
