Today Longinius Spear announced that he is taking a break from the Metagame\EVE Online. This leaves me alone as the host of DTP.

I am looking for well spoken, knowledgeable, and entertaining. You need to be able to have some space on the weekends every other week. Please leave your "resume" here along with any questions you have.

Interested! And I'm available every Sunday. Though not typically any day other than that.

My resume:
* I write very long and (hopefully) entertaining blogs.
* I prep for episodes with ridiculous one-liners and dumb jokes.
* I used to live in a wormhole with my Otter bros until a week ago.
* I'm high-spirited.
* The guys in my corp were talking about starting a podcast anyway; why compete when you can co-opt? Lol

I am partially mad that he's leaving our budding podcast idea for yours, but also think he's a good fit. +1

Bob Artis > I would love to co-host DTP

This was said today in corp. He would do great Bronya, though he doesn't troll. No one is perfect though

No trolling please

Heya Bob Artis here.

My corp all suggested I put in a resume to co-host your podcast so I'll give it a shot.

I have been playing EVE off and on since 2008 and spent the majority of that time as a miner/industrialist in small corps that based out of both High Sec and Wormhole space. It wasn't until December last year that I joined Sky Fighters and started learning about the PvP aspects of this game. I have a relatively fresh experience with wormhole space, but I've done my best to pick it up quick and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Some quick points about me.

  1. I'm the kind of guy who takes things seriously. You won't see much trolling from me, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying a good joke or smack talk every once in a while.
  2. I've been told I have a great radio voice. If you'd like you can listen to an example of it here: http://vocaroo.com/i/s0bz6byrv3aO
  3. I like to think positive. Doom and gloom has always annoyed me so I try to do my best to keep everyone happy. I even earned the nickname smiling assassin!
  4. I was blessed with the name of our divine deity.

Questions I have for you! I have only listened to your podcast maybe once or twice before so I just want to ask some basic questions.

  1. Is the podcast recorded at a specific time every other weekend or does it change from one episode to another? If it's not regular do you send out an estimated time at least a week in advance? I do work weekends, but as long as I know what time I need free it isn't a problem to make sure I'm available.
  2. Do you need me to do any kind of work for you other then speaking on the podcast? For example researching topics, or finding guest speakers. I don't mind helping with those sorts of things if you need me too, but I don't want to sink too much time into that.

If you have anything you wish to ask me specifically feel free to add me in game!

Edit: Also if I had to sum up my experience with W-space so far with one gif I would go with this http://i.imgur.com/Nks6rNr.gif

You could do a lot worse than Bob.

I believe he would be worth chatting with. Bob has been one of the most vocal when we have had CSM guests on our TS and had been asking them very good questions.

For what my word is worth Bob would be a good addition.

Best of luck in your search Bronya.

DTP deals with multiple guests on a regular basis so nailing down a time a week before takes some time. We usually pick a date and send out an eve mail chain asking the date is good and we pick a time and the guests ask us to move it up or down on the clock.

  • That is a really good question. I should have clarified the responsibilities of a co-host. You are there to basically pick up my slack, since nobody is perfect(not even me) I will take care of everything from recording to publishing. I need the co host to sometimes help find guests, come up with topics, organize the mails, fill in gaps of knowledge when we are recording, ect. This isnt a 5 minute job(not really a job) it can take a few hours during the week just to make sure everything is ready for next weekend. Also as a cohost you have the freedom to organize your own ideas for a cast and bring your own guests. Hopefully that answered most your questions...its 5 am here I don't think I missed anything

+1 for TXG I loved him last time he was on, mostly because he was talking about us bashing his corps collective face in with a kronos brick XD.

Excuse me. I resemble that remark. Is this becoming a meme?

Bronya, what if you were to try co-hosts on for size for a few weeks? Have a guest co-host for one show apiece for a few months, and see which ones actually match your style & keep up with you? It would make for some interesting podcasts as you figure out how well each person works out, and you'd have a really educated opinion on the strengths, weaknesses, and quirks of each potential co-host.

Ill interview the guys that want to join. The problem with doing a cast per cohost is that it would take a very long time.
