Unable to set to displays native resolution since last patch [SOLVED]

Since the last patch EVE will not set full screen to my displays native resolution.
Worked perfect up till then.

Display: Optoma GT750 3D Gaming projector.
Resolution: 1280x720
GPU: 2x GF760 ánde SLI
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor
RAM: 20GB DDR3 @ 1600mhz

The display is connected to the machine by HDMI with Nvidia 3DTV Play. Which allows outputting at the maximum 60fps resolution supported by the HDMI 1.4 spec. Which is 1280x720.

Since the patch. Regardless so I try and set the eve settings too. It sets itself to 1280x800. Which is an invalid resolution.

Obviously, this is a show stopping bug. As the lowest resolution the client tries to select is higher than the highest resolution available ánde from any HDMI based 3d gaming projectors you can buy.

Interestingly. If I set it to fixed windows rather than full screen. It will set the resolution. But this prevents stereoscopic output. Which is also a show stopper, as I have some degree of brain damage that prevents me from gaming among other things ánde 2D... I'll spare you the details but it involves epic week long migraines.

If somebody could help me figure where to force the resolution so that I may continue to play. It would be great.
Thanx ánde advance, etc.

Hi MoonPhoenix,

Took me a while to find this, however this could work, my display/cards support this resolution and I have set my client accordingly, and saved the settings.

Enter this in run or location bar:

%appdata%\..\Local\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_steam_steamapps_common_eve_online_tranquility\settings

Replace the file named core_public__.yaml with the one my client generated with your resolutions:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/g40rfz4bu6omqg1/core_public__.yaml

Alternatively you could open my attachment and your original file in something other than Windows Notepad (Notepad++ is a great alternative) and replace the FullScreenResolution and (BackBufferHeight and BackBufferWidth) in the DeviceSettings directives.

I am unsure what will happen if you change the settings in-game after merging/replacing the configuration file. Most likely, the resolution will just get overridden with the presets in the EVE settings dialog, or maybe not.. I am unsure.

Let us know how you get along!

Your file didn't work for me. Still booted up at 1280x800.

But after a read thru, and some trial and error have found success.

There was a line in the file that remained at (BackBufferHeight: 768) Regardless what ever else the ingame resolution was set too. After setting it to read (BackBufferHeight: 720) instead, EVE booted up fine in my native resolution with 3D working just fine again as well.

For the interests of constructive bug reporting.
Setting that value back to 768, reproduces my original problem. Even after it is setup and working well in display settings.
