My worst loss would be when i lost the fully fit Hel i spent 4 months in WH-space saving up for...
And yeah, didn't lose it in PvP - that wouldn't be a bad loss Blink
No, I figured I could park it at my corps pos in lowsec while I went back to my WH to take everything down...
Then alliance let a corp in they didn't vet and suddenly i didn't have a Hel anymre because I didn't realize the pos was set to allow alliance access Cry

If the guy who got it reads this, I'd love to know what happened to it - hit me up ingame Blink

Then I lost the 3 bil pod a little bit later and decided to take a break for a li'l bit, lol

My BEST loss, though, was when I lost my first Ark to a blue pos that was set up incorrectly. Didn't get reimbursed, so I took a break from eve and met my wife of now 5 years almost Lol
So there's always a silverlining - except when you lose a Hel the way I did, that's just stupid, lol LolLolLol

When I lived in low sec and was a pleb, used to having my safety set to red 23/7, I managed to Concordokken one of my Navy Ravens during a high sec war by shooting a blue wreck to deny a warpin point. Much to my surprise the GM explained that even though a blue wreck belongs to "everyone" it also belongs to "no one" at the same time, hence the swift and hilarious lossmail. Granted it was only T2 fitted so no biggie, but it was quite embarrassing.
Then we laughed at me it on TS and the GM was a bro so I may or may not have gotten reimbursement.

So you literally lost your Hel, because you don't know where it is. Awesome!

My worse lost would be a legion. To 0.0 rats Oops. I was multi boxing and didn't realize my legion got webbed and was taking full damage till I alt tab back and I was in 1/2 structure.

My first PVP loss was my very first caracal that I has spent a WEEK mining afk in yulai with a Miner I fitted to my cargo expaned Badger MK II....... I took it for a spin in a near by low-sec system since the rats in yulai were dying way too easily to my torps (yes caracal used to be able to fit 1 torp in each Heavy missile launcher, then reload. ) After warping around to a few belts and killing rats I met my very first pirate in a blaster fit Megathron. I warp to the gate, but he caught up to me because I didn't have a MWD fitted and this was before warp to 0. He was nice enough to tell me what to do differently next time and he didn't kill my pod! But that caracal cost me every single isk I had at the time.

That awkward moment at the Gentlemen's Club when you see your sister on the stage....and you're not sure where to put the money....

I think "worst" is tricky. How to define...

b/c Stupid: Pimp fit Golem I tried to take through HS w/ low sec status. Cops locked me me, killed me, killmail went to a noob ship that took some pot shots.

b/c Arrogant: T1 hauler in Nullsec killed by pirates. Escaped 8 times from gate. Didn't stop going gate to gate. Should have cloaked up but thought "I got this". I did not, and lost a couple bil in cargo.

b/c Baited: Tengu in Jita. Trying to grive griefers taking loot from bait wrecks... and got a flag. Bye bye Tengu.

b/c I'm So Tough: Pimp Nighthawk in null... "I can ALWAYS make it back to gate... except when I can't. To be fair it took a fair size fleet about 15 mins to break the tank, but break it they did. Totally locked down. Got many complements on tank as I was dieing though.

No, you actually don't.

I was drunk one night and decided that I just had log on my alt to move my JUMP FREIGHTER the 9 jumps through gates to Jita. It only had like a Tengu and some stuff in it, not even worth a bil, so I'm cool, right?

I learned that night that ,somehow, being drunk makes you forget WAR DECs. I knew i was falling asleep 2 jumps form Jita and turned on autopilot.

I woke up with my JF in Jita with like 8% hull left being killed by a war target brutix and cynabal. Watching 7 billion isk worth of ship (with another Bil in cargo) slowly blow up is WAY more sobering than any amount of coffee .......

1. Lost a Tengu doing Worlds Collide in Angel space after a 3 year break from PVE. Ohhh I'll just aggro everything Oops Then died trying to get the loot. Twice. I think I ended up ninjaing in an ibis to swipe it, pretty sure I was hyperventilating by that point.

2. PVPing on 3 different alts with +5s, lost them all in the space of a month due to lag. Pretty sure the GMs were giggling like little kids when they replied to my bawwing petitions. Especially the final ones where I resorted to howling, it's not faiiiiiiir. As you do.

3. Forgot to update clones. Three times on two alts, lost Caldari BS 5 every time. Then retrained it >.> I hate Caldari, no idea why I bothered.

4. Jumped a carrier in with a fleet in Tribute, got bounced off by a friendly titan 400km (seriously I've never moved so fast). Whilst dying to ROL (fml) the whole coalition was going "hahaha look at that berk" and the FC was screaming "don't even think about asking for reimbursement for that, you're banned from my fleets".

5. Lost a JF to a Nyx on a bugged POS after scouting & hauling for 5 hours. After having sent a corp mail the day before warning people about the pilot & the POS. Although this one did make me laugh - actually most of them did, which never goes down well when you're in comms. "Hehe ono ohgod oops" usually gets you a telling off :|

The best one was the one that didn't die though. Built a titan for a corpie, launched it from it's CSMA or w/e - watched it bounce off the POS 200km or so. Honestly with that one I was unable to speak for minute or two, so horrifed. It wasn't even fit. The titan alt was 15 jumps away too. He shrieked on every gate probably because I was going "I'm sorry, I'm sorry ahaha ohgod hostile fleet reported, better get a move on."

I've lost a rorqual, 4-5 orcas, a 1.2 bil legion, a legion with 2 10mn afterburners on it (was drunk), I've spent 15 days retraining amarr cruiser V, 30 days retraining Capital Industrial V, etc etc.

For a time my worst loss was thanks to CCP in a Sansha live event taking out my ship in 10 seconds. 20+ Nightmares on your case is no laughing matter let me tell you.

I recently realized that a Federation Navy Comet I lost in a covert site (BUFFER tank, not high resist, is what works - an expensive lesson) has a module on it that was worth around 150 million ISK. I didn't know it at the time. An astero I lost in the same manner was slated at around 106 million ISK value but the Comet was hovering around 200 million total. Though I didn't know it at the time.

Since I have the skills to use and fully exploit Tech 2, I'm selling off all of my expensive bling modules now. I have been exploring and gathering up these faction/deadspace modules for years now, so I never really paid for any that I lost. But still, I would be a billion ISK richer if I had.

When I was a kid, I used to bring home things to keep as pets.

One time I thought it would be a good idea to keep the frog and the snapping turtle I'd caught in the same terrarium. Next morning, no frog.

That's my worst loss ever and I feel better for having shared it with you, my friends.

Worst? Whatever this is.

I wasn't even trying to fit it badly or anything, this is literally my first ship loss ever. I don't even know why I thought this would work. I followed it up three days later with this, my second loss ever.

Most expensive?

Well, I lived in a C2 wormhole for a week or so. Decided to move out. Decided it was a great idea to do this 10 minutes after seeing a Proteus and Sabre on DScan. Had a lowsec exit into Taisy. Load up my Noctis with my loot from the last 2 or 3 days, I dunno why I thought this was a good idea when I had a Prowler alt 5 jumps away... Boom goes the Noctis with 150M in loot. I decide "Eh, whatever, I'll just sell the hole, maybe I can get some money for it." Make a post on the sell order forum about it, get contacted within 30 minutes. Start offlining POS mods, offering to sell the tower- a large Amarr tower- to the guy, along with all the mods. He accepts. I set everything offline, start unanchoring it all... one hour unanchor timer on the tower. Ugh. The guy brought in a small POS to hang out in during that time. Weird, but okay.

We wait out the timer and warp back to the tower. Neither of us thought "hey, let's DScan it first" for some reason. We land... Sabre, 6 T3s, and an Iteron 5 ready to scoop the tower. Oh.

Actually, y'know what, that day might qualify for dumbest loss, not the "I don't know how to fit" ones.

Barely able to fly Gallente Battleships I went into the mission called 'stop the thief' (You know what's coming next, right? Cool).
So I popped the trigger first and was overwhelmed and webbed and scrammed and I lost my first Mega in the blink of an eye.

Low on funds, not wanting to say F* you to my agent I was able to scramble a new Mega together with the idea to loot my own wreck first then use the mods to refit my ship, buy what was missing and finish the mission.

So i warp in on my wreck at 0.
All rats are right there on the spot where I lost my first Mega, they web me they scram me and that was the end of Mega No.#2.

At that moment I'm frustrated beyond belief. Thinking of quitting because I have just enough isk left to buy 1 more Mega.
So for me that was the worst loss since I almost quit.

I didn't though, realized I was the one to blame, not the game, warped my largely empty Mega No.#3 100 km in off the rats, kitted them for another 50-100km away from my wrecks, warped out, warped back in, got my stuff, fitted my mega and finished the mission.

Silly me. Lol

Ah just like my very first lvl 4. Mine happened back when there was different quality of agents - I think they went from -20 to +20. I figured that a lvl 3 +20 agent mission would be basically the same as a lvl 4 -20 agent mission. Ofc no one told me that rats in lvl 4 could point you. So I'm doing the mission and I notice that the rats are hitting hard. So I try to get out and Im like why is my ship not moving. Then I notice the scramming frigs. So I try to shoot them, but cant hit them. By the time I remembered my drones it was all over for my very first tempest. Ah good times.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

Worst loss wasn't necessarily the most expensive. When it happened in me gaming life, and HOW it happened sort of added to the drama of it all. Lost a Rupture, all decked out in meta 4 to a mean old guy (I still keep on my contacts list for future retribution, and I will avenge this loss) who entered a mission I was doing. He DID let me "go" for one ISK after lecturing "the noob" about missioning in low sec space.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Well, the worst loss was when I was very young in Eve. I tried to use a Hulk to retrieve some "Arby launchers" from Worlds Collide from a previous popped wreck. Though I could snatch and grab them, but no, got scrammed and blew it up too. Just so bad because it was really dumb, embarrassing, and was a lot of isk at the time for me.

Most expensive would be a shiny implant pod I think... "Last mistake is your best teacher" as they say

Pod with full genolutions by warping into a smart bombing rokh in low sec. I wasn't even supposed to be in that clone at the time. This was followed closely by my first T3 ever, a loki that I was flying to an incursion system while at war *facepalm*.
