Usually a lot of counters, catches, traps, etc play out best if you do it in reverse in your head.. Find out what you want to happen. Then find out what you need to MAKE that happen (specific ships, people in certain positions, etc). Then make it happen.

Not exactly reinventing the wheel, just stuff I thought I'd share.

Usually.

For me, it's a covops in the right place. Doesn't even have to have a cyno, long as it's got tackle and can call in buddies with a cyno within seconds.

The only difference between action and reaction is prior planning*. You are free to plan it forwards or backwards as you like.

*EDIT - I concede, the other difference is that one word is longer and has an r and e at the beginning.

Maybe Proaction vs. reaction? Knowing the other guys are gonna form a counterfleet, but being ready to escalate with a cyno, or call in buddies you know 3j overt, etc etc.

I usually wake up and Ahura Mazda put some ideas on my head and gives me visions what to do.

only problem with this is that by the time you've succeeded in shutting up the special snowflakes, waited on people to do the logistics they should have already done, and confirmed the requisite amount of times that the people about to undock actually know how to fly what you need them to undock in, the three snipers will have either died of boredom or been chewed apart by the random Talwar gang sweeping through then you have to deal with the fucks who blame you for failing to order everyone out in Talwars.

Its a really good book actually. Im not sure how right the guy is about a lot of the stuff, but he sure as hell provides authority for everything.

My favorite story of his is about Airline accidents, captains, copilots and the country they are from. Fascinating.
