Why aint there crew on the ships we fly? I have problems With see how one person can fly huge ships.

Bring Crew into the game, which u need to Train for each specific ship and position.
U could get crew from the street, previous trained crew, crew from other players by marked or contracts, Hire crew for a short periode of time, Clone crews, droid crews, military clone crew, military droid crew, black ops crew... the posibilities are unlimited of the range of crews.

If u come over a crew With special abilities, u could Train them upto become ship capitan and u could give them jobs to to, fly from one Place to another, do a job....

At the same time, while im at it, get more out of the different "personell" u get out of missions, like scientists, put them to work to enhanche ur Production, Research ect. Soldiers to do Assaults, or even hijack ships. Strippers can give ya lapdances, ergo enhance ure happiness and u get a boost in skills or other areas for a day.

But With vrew, there must be a upkeep too.

When ur ship is killed, not one pod is ejected, but a fixed number of pods, Equal to the amount of crew and urself. So a big ship, would release a swarm of pods.

Even get some Japanese pods, called Kamikaze-pods, filled With explosives and one crew member... Guess its purpose XD

Ships already have crews. https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/New_Eden_crew_guidelines

The capsule takes over the 'bridge crew' functions so that the capsuleer is all that's required to pilot the vessel. The crew are used as repairmen/janitors/catering staff/etc..

In terms of your idea, it's good, but that's what the skill training is for. You are taking over the functions of the ship, you are being trained to align it faster, shoot the guns quicker etc...

Because we have PODs. This is the entire idea behind EVE. You as capsuleer control your entire ship on your own and do not depend on fallible and miserable crews, who only hold you back. IF you want a crew, then we can also scrap the POD idea and die instantly when the ship explodes.

Crews are pointless in EVE (even on Dreads, where there is supposedly a crew manning the big guns).

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

It's hilarious that the capsuleer has his own pod while the rest of the crew are left behind...

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

A battleship has a "crew" of 4500-9000.... kinda strange that their skills dont affect the ship and its handling. A bad crew would affect a ship in a bad way, a good crew in a good way... a extremly good trained crew, would make ure ship, in its class, awesome.

As much of EVE, there are aspects that aint always logical.

What it comes down to is the fact that being able to micro manage how much experience our crew has for different things is pretty much the same thing as Rigs.

Also I imagine there are some Server Melting / Database issues if you add in having to track the experience level of every crew member and how it affects every single aspect of your ship when you fly/fight.

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Let alone: It's NPC filling roles and doing tasks that should be done by players. Imagine even more NPC influence and expansion in EVE, the outcry would be fabulous.

As i assume, a ship has a code thats based on the ships modules, rigs and pilot that accumulate the strenghts, weakeness and abilities. Abilities for crew would just be added as a positive or negative trait to the allready attributes of the ship and not making a long neverlasting code that would kill a server.

Further, CCP seems to ignore server abilities when it comes to their New creations, with the Nestor CCP ignored the graphic capabilities of the servers and went apeshit creating it.

models arent client side??

anyways, looking at the last few threads uve brought up, u could save urself a lot of grief by looking in commonly proposed ideas and using the search function

do it before u make a new thread

The commonly proposed ideas bin, where People rarely go look, so if some of my ideas have been suggested before, it might be a good idea to look better into the idea instead of tossing it into the bin With the rest... where it lies igonred With the rest.

no the point is the idea has been looked into, countless times, and discussed back and forth, countless times. u'd know this if u looked.

u can learn all the reasons why ur idea is unpopular by looking in the other threads which propose the exact same thing

If CCP has moved and locked these ideas many times and dont take it into consideration, there is something wrong. Even CCP has implemented bad ideas. Some thinks this is a bad idea, some dont. Thats why i like this forum, it has the bad tendensy of bigbrother syndrome and gang mentality :D

what has that got to do with the fact that the idea is bad for very good reason? orr the fact that u were too lazy to check them out so u'd know why the idea can be abused?

and by abuse i mean redundant in this particular thread. its another of ur threads which holds and idea that can be abused.

The fact that the idea is bad...... so why is it a bad idea to have some influence on what crew u have in ur ships? If players want to micromanage their crew, let them. If not, set it to auto or something.

And about "abuse"... ofcourse players can abuse every aspect of EVE if they really want to... so is life, ull always get some shite With good stuff.

About crew and it follows the pod u eject into....

Lets say u fly a Titan, its crew can be upto max 145.000.

A pod has a volume of 1000m3.

Unless ur crew is miniature Umpa Lumpas from the chocolate factory, no way in Siegfried Freuds azz u gonna get that amount into a pod.

Again the the Logic of EVE dazzles me.

They have thier own escape pods that your camera drones don't show.

Because you are a bad person and would delight in popping them. Like all of us really.

Also, why do you want the game to be harder to play? Why should every ship be more expensive, and every loss more damaging?

Game is allready hard to play, when viewed from a newbies point of view, so this little change wouldnt affect the Learning curve much.

And im not a bad person... and not everyone else too, we just have a slightly different view on morality and general goodness
