Hello all! Let me start off by saying that I'm 15 and this thread is here to give me ideas, so with that said, let's continue!

Recently my laptop broke, and that was my only way to play, my account is still active and I'm crying over the months wasted on skills I could've been training for a widow and manticore for my planned activities...

So basically I'm asking if there are any alternatives to logging in to the game to update my Que?

Also I don't know when I will be getting a replacement so yeah...

Install the client on someone else's computer, and just use it to update your skills?

Other than that, I'd simply let your subscription expire and save yourself the money.

Exactly this. Don't let eve become the addiction that has fallen over so many of us before you. Let it go while you are still young, get through the withdraw symptoms, and emerge a clean man that will actually have a life outside of internet spaceships.

Even the most horrible computer should be able to run eve and change ques.

Install it on a USB then go to school and see if you can do it there....

get someone to fix your laptop. Then throw it out your window and get a desktop replacement.

At this point..Im very sure this thread was about Katy Perry..she gives every 15 year old boy ideas... I will allow it to proceed.

That sucks. Luckily there are about 20000 active threads on laptops for Eve!

Skills wasted would be pretty much "Caldari Strategic Cruiser" and pretty much anything having the words "Mining" or "Barge" in it. Im going to assume you had some combination of those in your queue. Those would indeed be wasted. Gallente Destroyer 5 and Small Hybrid skills are timeless, and are never a waste.

Nope. Probably wont happen either. Find computer at a garage sale that can barely run Eve..download client and log in. Or ask a guy at a coffee shop if you can use his laptop..download the client.. log in and put in long skills... buy the guy a coffee and complement him on his book that he's writing. Don't forget to drag his book to the recycle bin and empty it before you go. Youre doing him a favor. His book was garbage.

Do you own a ski mask? A ski mask would help you acquire a replacement pretty quick. You basically put it on..then go next door to your rich neighbors house, preferably during the night, go to the back door..and knock. Ask if he does ski lessons..because with those you could win some kind of ski contest and take the money to buy a new laptop!

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I'm a 45 year old boy and I have plenty of ideas for Katy Perry. Some, not many to be honest, involve her keeping her clothes on even.

There are no phone apps or web apps that let you access your queue. You need to log in. The only way to access EVE without a computer is install it on a real PC/MAC somewhere and access that PC by remote desktop or team viewer from a tablet or whatever.

It will however run on any computer good enuf for EVE if you have a copy of the game and config file installed on a USB stick.

Do not even consider plans that do not include you logging in yourself, anything tricky will likely get you banned or your stuff stolen or both.

If you can't play through another computer, I'd gladly log you in and queue up your skills. I've had friends do that for me awhile I am away. Obviously you would have to trust me which I doubt you will. But if you ever want to take a gamble, I am your man. I pride myself on having some kind of integrity on here. Take care bro.

Account sharing is against the EULA or ToS (I always forget which) and is a banable offense. Admitting to it on the forums is just stupid.

I once ran the windows EVE client on a Linux system installed on a pentium 4 with only 32mb of VRAM. In fact, it had so little VRAM that I had to have WINE lie to the client to get it to start. It ran at 3fps, had no 3D graphics (only UI elements worked), and even the UI elements were in weird sepia tones.

But I was able to change skills so it's ok Big smile I got brave and undocked a ratting drake (this was back when BRUCE was around) and actually managed to shoot a few rats before this dude in an Ares pointed me (apparantly local didn't work right) but he had no friends so I managed to force him to leave and dock safely Pirate

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Lies!

There is no way you are 15.

Look at that post. Capitalized, punctuated, and grammatically correct. My spellchecker didn't light up at all when I quoted it.

You type with more panache than most people twice your age. And certainly better than anyone of your own generation.

Can I have all your stuff now while there's still time for you to give it to me?

Find a really cheap, nasty pc to cover you until you can get a proper machine sorted out.

I run eve on a 10 year old Pentium D with intergrated graphics. Trust me, it's not pretty but I can change my skillqueue and PvP in small groups...

Don't ever go to jita undock or in TiDi though...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

No but you'd have to take some pretty hefty combat boosters to think that your actually orbiting it.
