I dont know what all the fuss about the changes to PI have been about.
Since the patch P4 items have gone up massively but all the lower tiers P1-P3 have not moved much so I have been raking it in by buying low end stuff and importing them to a manufacturing planet to make P4s to sell at nearly 50% profit.
6 accounts and 3 PI toons on each can knock out a shed load of P4 every day.

Patchs are good times to make a killing

For the most part, a lot of it seems to be there are a lot of "hem" and "haw" like characers from the book "Who Moved My Cheese"

The assumptions they based their play on (the assessed PI values) are no longer valid, and rather than find something that works (which there are) they demand that things go back to how they were because their way is right. I have to admit to being a little shell shocked when I did my POS fuel export last night, but I remember seeing mention of the tax rate for customs offices being 5%. (Now doubled to 10%) Previously, the valuation for the 5% tax had no connection to the value of the exported material itself. Now, it is in line with actual values of those goods (A little bit below, but..)

I expect that after the POCO changes settle in, either the lower tier prices will go up, or the P4 prices will come back down a bit. (If your P4 manufacturing is as good as you say, others will do it, and competition will have an effect on one or the other, or both.)

Lots of silly people who are bad at math doing small time PI. It takes a while for the P1-P3 prices to adjust.

Personally I can't understand how someone can play EVE without Google Docs or Excel, but the market today clearly shows that a lot of people do exactly that. "Hey this stuff was free because I extracted and built it in my planetary factory, doing it all myself"-style.

Same people also seem to be the ones shedding tears over the POCO taxes. They seem to somehow go berserk when the game taxes them for their "free because I extracted and built it myself" stuff, cutting into their "profits" (=100% of sell price, since hey, it was all free etc.)

On the other hand, I guess I couldn't swim in such a massive pile of isk every day without these people... but at times.. I just shake my head in amazement while scooping up the loose iskies...
