Increase immersion with model accurate wrecks

Given their new tools that they so graciously showed off in a dev blog would it be worth dev time to work on delivering unique wrecks for each ship in the game over time?

Do you think possibly adding multiple wreck models could be a possibility as well to give variety?

Would these ever be good ideas or should it just always be kept simple for sub caps?

I'd love to see this - I thought exactly the same as you when they showed that tool for creating the capital wrecks. It would certainly make the combat sites / fleet battles / mission sites more interesting when the field is littered with wrecks.

My only concern would be to performance, if it could be done without a big hit to performance then bring it in! 😀

That'd be nice, as long as they're not too big so it doesnt become a visual nightmare in bigger fights.

If displaying such wrecks is kept as a client option, performance wouldn't be an issue I guess.

If it becomes a lag issue for larger fights, they can simply add an option in visual settings for enabling/disabling "simple wrecks".

+1 this would really really make the game "feel" a lot better.
