I'd simplify the drug thing further -- just remove all the weird restrictions on drugs in general. It was a fun idea, but it's mechanically awful and is invalidating an interesting industry and a useful PvP edge for the sake of thematics.

This post was crafted by the wormhole expert of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal, the foremost authority on Eve: Online economics and gameplay.

Allow contracts for drugs.

Enable some way to remove autocomplete entries from courier contracts. e.g. I once made a courier contract to the wrong Jita 4-4 station. Autocomplete now gives me that station as an option every time, with no way to remove it. Similar issues occur when 0.0 stations get new names.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Allow contracts to split stacks would be nice.

Example: I try accept a WTB contract for one Tritanium, but it can not be completed as I only have a stack of 5 Tritanium.

First thing I can think of is moving everything to one window. For example, once I select courier contracts, I have to click next through about 5 menu's, selecting or changing a few options on each. Can some of that be consolidated?

Second, again in courier contracts. If I leave something like illegal boosters in my cargohole, it just creates a pain in the ass. I have to back out of the contract, unload the ship if I'm near it, I can't even remember what. They're always remote contacts. Why can't I have an option, from within that contract, to send some dock hand down to remove them from my ship and allow me to complete the contract? Illegal items are the bane of contracts, can we just remove that limitation and allow for a popup that warns people they're accepting a contract with illegal items? Edit: I now see a lot of other people asking for the same thing, fix boosters within contracts!

I second/third/whatever it's on now contract times. Make it longer than 2 weeks

Remove the minimum limit on contract price. I forget if it's WTS or Auction, but it requires a 1m minimum. There's a lot of random exploration items (mobile blueprint BPC's for one) that are worth a lot less than a million, but you can't create a contract for them for under that amount.

Make fitted ships in contacts easier to view. The current "Wall of text" is a pain in the arse. Can we use the same ship view that we use to view ship fittings?

Contracts containing more than the "max amount of items" I forget what it is, 200? Then you have to back up, count the number of items, create two contracts....

As someone else said, the 50 character limit for contract names, it's impossible to tell when you've hit it.

Creating Contracts:

  • It would be cool if this could be done in 1 screen/page - or - possibly 2, with the second screen just being for confirmation + the ability to disable this confirmation
  • drag a contact or multiple contacts from my contact list into this screen to choose who the contract is for.
  • The 'I will give/receive' part would be cool if it looked like the UI when interacting with a poco. Allow me to drag items from my inventory / containers onto one side, and on the other to click / drag from something like the filter used for the market

Viewing Contracts:

  • I think the give/receive part should look like the poco UI
  • For BPCs, could you add something in the window that reflects estimated isk/time saved for research levels?

Finding Contracts:
Please Please Please integrate with the market window in some way. One example might be, you click/search pyrite and see market stuff on one tab, and contract stuff another tab with the ability to filter out multiple items.

edit: i know this thread is moreso for UI / usuability, but i always thought it would be cool if eve had options contracts

If it isnt a huge issue, allowing a contract to be more than 200 items would be nice. When im doing large logistic movements its a PITA to have to make a contract of the first 200 items. Wait 5 min for my assets to refresh, contract the next 200...wait 5 min etc.

I use the contract system for several things. Mostly issuing collateralized courier contracts, but also to transfer bulk BPCs between my characters, to trade BPOs, to scam traders (mostly through tricking people into believing a want to sell contract is a want to buy), to scam couriers (mostly through overcollateralized 'set up to fail' contracts), and I frequently use the contract system's search facility to purchase BPCs.

I do not use the contract interface to browse for-sale ship fits.

My requests:

1) Collateralized loan contracts.

We have collateralized courier contracts where player 1 "borrows" goods from player 2 with system-enforced collateral, then returns them to a different place and receives a fee, or fails the contract and forfeits the collateral. A collateralized loan contract would entail player 1 "borrowing" goods from player 2 with system-enforced collateral, then player 2 repaying the loan with system-enforced interest and in doing so regaining access to the goods. (Or, player 2 could default, keeping the ISK and forfeiting the goods to player 1).

Just as in courier contracts, only one party - the borrower - would have the capacity to declare a default within the system.

This will dramatically change the game economy by reducing the labour involved in facilitating loans, and will also facilitate the odd scam. (Borrowing 3b, collateral = 2 Kronos hulls, interest = 12% over 14 days, oh wait, did I forget to pay that back? Enjoy your expensive Kronoses).

2) Better BPC trading interface

Try to use the contract interface to purchase a Process-decrypted (1 run, -1 ME, -1 PE) Kronos BPC now and you will see what I mean here - you cannot tell without looking at the contract which ones have which ME/PE. The current interface is terrible for BPCs.

3) Keep the ability to deceptively rename contracts when you link them.

4) Totally redesign the "Available Contracts" page.

Have the system automatically categorize item exchange contracts as "Fitted Ship", "Multiple Fitted Ships", "Ship Fitting Without Hull", "Blueprint Collection", "Single Blueprint" and other categories including one catchall. Let us filter by categories (i.e. if I want a Kronos BPC, I can look under "Single Blueprint" and "Blueprint Collection" without having to see Kronos-related entries such as a fitted Kronos with a faction module BPC in it, which would come up as a false positive under the current search system).

Two more things.

5) Second the 201+ items contracts. I fall afoul of that a lot, given that I currently have ~4000 BPCs at my main invention location and two characters using it. I'm sure others have more problems with this.

6) The ability to define a personalized nearly-complete contract that you can then issue to many people. For instance, I'd love the ability to create a contract where I give 3 Catalyst hulls, 24 Light Neutron Blaster II, 312 Void S, 6 meta 1 SeBo, 9 Magnetic Field Stabilizer II, 3 Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator, 3 Small Hybrid Burst Aerator, and I receive 30m ISK, and name this contract "Ganker Love Package #3".

I'd then go into the contract interface, select "standard contracts" then "Ganker Love Package #3" then who it is to be issued to. Then the system checks 'do I have all the materials' and if so, provides the standard confirmation screen.

Haven't read all the suggestions but here are my few quick / easish ones

  • Ability to ignore single contracts, rather than the issuer, Someone might link scam contracts in jita, but still have 'cosha' contracts that im intersted in
  • Following on from above, Ability to ignore certain types of contracts, For instance I dont care about 'bandit spur' but they clog up my contract screen when im looking for Bargains
  • Ability to just search for BPO / BPC of a type, for instance, Just Mods or Just Ships , rather than pick a particular mod, for instance i want to search for ALL MODS and BPC
  • Remove the 'Expired' Auctions - Once i claim my item, the expired contract sits in my outsanding list until the buyer acepts the isk, WHY?? I dont care if he has my isk or not, I have paid for item, so it isn't outstanding.
  • Ability on hauling contracts, to offer bonus payments depending on time frame. I want to pay someone to delvier quickly so put it in the contracts.
  • Payment option within hauling contracts, to be per jump payment, not total, I like to pay my haulers on per jump basis, working it out (especially when your unsure on total jumps until creation) would be nice to put in 250k per jump then let contract do it itself based on all highsec route (so if they take low sec shorter route they still get the total amount offered in payment)
  • Ability to offer multiple pick up from single courier job - This might be abit harder, but would be nice
  • Time left on contract or time of finish rather than this "less than one day / one hour etc"
  • WTB Contracts for BPCs , I want to buy Nightmares for eg, only option is nightmare bpo :( (and ye i would want to buy one thanks)
  • [*] Meta item searching - I want to search for all meta 11-15 mods for instance

Still the only person to offer corp creation free of charge. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=35634#post35634 Created over 200 was 3rd on the all time corporation job history on eve-board. This service is in stasis due to personal game time...

Please add the region name of the destination/ drop off system in courier contracts. Currently only the name of the pickup station's region shows.

Also please either add a warning for the sec status of the route of contracts, or have an option to filter out specific regions or systems like island highsec.

I doubt this will be considered but can we please have a way to return a contract if we did not pick up or move them yet? I loathe billion dollar empty containers.

    Repeat payment contracts .....

Players make repeating payments for stuff all the time, principally renting space. Since there is currently no ability for corps and allainces to issue bills, right now everthing is handled manually by pulling wallets and trying to sort out who paid for what this month. Its a complete PITA.

A "repeating payment" contract would allow players to set up a regular payment for a fixed amount every week / month / day etc. Breaking or cancelling this contract is pretty easy ( cancel the contract or leave the wallet empty ). And the scam potential would be useful too.

    1. Show the comments by issuer as one of the columns in the contract listings

    2. Fitted ship contract:

Get rid of the weird grey box showing the contents.

Instead use a streamlined EFT text style, like this:

    Vengeance

    - Damage Control II
    - Small Ancillary Armor Repairer
    - Small Armor Repairer II
    - Ballistic Control System II

    - Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
    - Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
    - 1MN Afterburner II

    - Rocket Launcher II
    - Rocket Launcher II
    - Rocket Launcher II
    - Rocket Launcher II
    - Small Diminishing Power System Drain I

    - Small Anti-Thermic Pump I
    - Small Auxiliary Nano Pump I

    - Nanite Repair Paste
    - Caldari Navy Mjolnir Rocket

Incidentally this is what the confirmation window shows when you create the contract. It's A LOT more readable than the designed-for-scamming, geocities style, low contrast high luminosity contract display.

if i could create the same contract X times i would be so happy.

While the copy contract option (that many apparently don't know about) does do this, it would be great if we could produce multiple indentical contracts with fewer clicks.

It would also be great if we could put up some kind of stacked contract, where a single contract slot provides multiple indentical contracts that can be accepted either as singles or as mutliples. So I could put up one contract with 50 identical items in it and customers can accept it, depleting the number in the stack until it is all gone. This would give us some of the functionality we have in market orders, but for items that can't be sold on the market (i.e. BPCs). I'd suggest adding a new contracting skill to set the maximum number of instances in a stacked contract.

Also, the finished contracts display is buggy. It sometimes has contracts missing from it. I think some bug fixing is required here.

Allowing us to put corporation shares in to contracts so we finally have a useable method for trading them would be great, particularly if you combine that with the stacked contract concept that I put forward above.

Not sure if it is mentioned in the 3 previous pages but here it goes:
    Batch contacting.
Ability to create a template, and then select , for example 10 BPC that i want to to sell, and create 10 individual contracts with the same attributes as the template.

Also, allow for select all, or select a few with control, or shift key, on the finished contracts tab.

The best change you could make to contracts, is to add more items that can currently only be contracted to the market. I think Drone AI units is probably the most common one - but there are plenty of pirate tags and random mission drops that could be added too.

Should be possible for somebody at CCP to run a report of the items that are traded most on contract that aren't on the market to give you a priority list.

    Let us recontract existing contracts:

If I get a contract from a character and want to contract this stuff to another character, I want to be able to click "Recontract" and get immediately to the contract setup window where I can enter the new/next recipient. The contract is then accepted into a buffer and immediately recreated as a new contract to the next recipient. I don't need to go to my assets and find the stuff (in the worst case have to wait 5 minutes because of asset delay) and set up a new contract from there.

    UI Improvement Collective

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Looking at available public contracts: Ability to "Ignore this contract". I often would like to ignore a crappy contract, instead of the only option of "Ignore this contract and all others by the same user". Sometimes I just dislike 1 of the contracts by a player, but want to see the rest of contracts available from this person.

Public courier contracts, (and other contracts too): Able to modify my contracts. Let's say I put up a basic public courier contract. I would like it if you would implement the ability to modify the Collateral and the Reward.

On a busy weekend day: If I set my Collateral too high, and the Reward too low, I will be able to modify it to make it more desirable, so it can be accepted faster; instead of having to start from scratch making a contract all over again.

Increase the base amount of contracts a player can have to 5. Before any skills a player can have 1 contract currently. This is a minor buff and will help all players.

Thank you for taking the time to read my ideas and I hope you enjoy them. I take this very seriously and am trying to help improve the game.

I will edit my post later for corrections and to add more ideas.

Please allow for contracts that behave like blueprints.

That is, give users the ability to save a limited number of contracts in template form.

The template can be named, and when called up lists what's on the contract, just like a blueprint's bill of materials.

At the start of contract creation, a template contract prompts for a hangar, then displays a window not unlike a manufacturing window, that line by line indicates which items are accounted for and which are missing from the hangar.

I really am wasting my breath though, when you can avoid questions from Hexxx and RAW23 like that you must have some seriously devoted investors. --Elizabeth Norn
