Subsystems: Submit your good and bat sh*t crazy ideas

Lets have some fun!

What are you crazy ideas to add to the current available subsystems. The more “out there” the better.

Here, I’ll start us off:

  • Propulsion Subsystem: Allows the use of MJD
  • Offensive Subsystem: Allows the fitting and reduces reload time of bomb launchers. Eve needs more bombs!
  • Defensive Subsystem: Increases resistance and Repair drone (mass repair drones)

A missile subsystem for the Legion that gets the same range bonus as the Tengu.

A missile subsystem for the Loki that is actually worth using.

Best thing: Changing the Subsystem Skill Bonus for the Amarr Covert Recon:
5% to Laser-damage instead of the old 10% bonus to medium energy turret capacitor use per level.

But completely new subsystems? Huh. Maybe some defensive subsystem with huge bonus to sig and resists.

Amarr Stealth Chassis
-5% Signature Radius per level
+4% Armor resists per level
+1 HighSlot
+0 MedSlot
+3 LowSlot
Natural Signature Radius a ludicrously low 125m.
(93,75 with level 5)

But: Less cargo, armor and structure then other subsystems.

Maybe some new engineering subsystem for the Legion, too (so it works better with a changed covert-subsystem):

Amarr Chrysalis Synthesizer
+2% more Cap per level
+2% faster Cap regen per level
+2% more CPU
-Has the best natural PG

But: Adds only another LowSlot, nothing else. (Bad slot-layout)

An Offensive subsystem that adds an ore hold and the use of strip miners, because brick tanked Legions mining in belts in place of Retrievers would be hilarious.

Change covert and nullification to be an electronics subsystem and thus cant be equiped together.

Increase decloak/target delay to 10 secs and/or 25-50% less weapon slots when covert sub is installed to compensate for offensive subsystem DPS but not neuter it as much as some current t3s.

Nulification still -1 slot..... I'm open to it being a lost mid on tengu and perhaps loki.

gallente propulsion: emergency responder.

+10% warp speed per level
includes flashing red and blue lights
includes GPD decal

I want to see logi appear on killmails! (by just repping)  See CSM "reasonable things"

Add a type of "triage" module + that slows or stops your ship but allows it to repair. The problem with giving current T3 range is that it would overshadow current T2 ships which is not part of the current CCP design philosophy.

Gimme an electronics sub for Gallente and Minmatar which allows you to fit a HIC point.

And of course be able to team that up with the covps and nullifier subs. Definitely not OP.

drop 1 sub from each race, and port it over to a new t3 cruiser that handles support and non-combat related activities from exploration, logistics, and even mining, and by extension nerf the current t3s. Removing links and logi from current t3 would go a long way towards bringing them back down to something realistic.

Add a Remote Sensor Dampener effectiveness bonus to the Friction Extension Processor subsystem for the Proteus.

Add a Target Painter effectiveness bonus to the Immobility Drivers subsystem for the Loki.

Add a Tracking Disruptor effectiveness bonus to the Energy Parasitic Complex subsystem for the Legion.

Give the Assault Optimization subsystem for the Legion a bonus to heavy missile and HAM velocity, and make the damage bonus affect heavy missiles as well as HAMs.

Allows a T3 to fit a warp disruption field generator turning it into a HIC.

Since it's an electronics subsystem you can still use the Covert Reconfiguration and Interdiction Nullifier systems and create a covert ops interdiction nullified interdictor.

This would revolutionize warfare.

I think having bomb launchers in their current state would be obviously too powerful on cruiser hull but I would love if you had a rapid "mini" bomb launcher.

  • Allows you to fire a bomb every 10 seconds which does between 0.25 and 0.33 of current bomb damage.

  • Right clicking the module allows you select a range for the bomb to explode between 20km and 60km (like selecting orbit or keep at range)

It does not replace the massive burst potential of current bombers but because of its increased durability allows it to stay on field bombarding targets with bombs. The possibility of friendly fire will limit the careless spamming. Targets move and spread out will make landing bombs more difficult discouraging the current tactics of anchoring on a single target. High skill cap with high reward plays!

I am not sure about bubbles but I think the ability to have a focused warp disruption point for holding down supers would be nice. I do believe if implemented this would have to be moved to the offensive subsystem slot so that is conflicts with the covert ops cloak . It is important to give the Super some time to react.

The T3 could easily black ops then use a mobile depot, but it wouldn't be instantaneous.

Obviously the T3 should not be better then the T2 heavy dictor, perhaps it should have an optimal range penalty to the point (15-20km) or a longer cycle duration (unable to turn off to catch reps)
