They are the "too powerful to fail" corp/Alliance in EVE.

People dislike them because they like being the "Bad guys in EVE"
They are good, they are big and they win alot, so people dislike them.

Being the bad guy means people usually want to shot at you. This means you have people to shoot at.

This may be a legit question. But I'm not sure about the term Goon squad.
A true newbie asked about the CODE in chat the other day. After some discussion it was decided the CODE was to EVE what salt and pepper are to eggs; not necessary but it sure does add flavor. I suppose the Goons could be considered tabasco or something like that.

CFC are not Goons. Goons used to be edgy and sometimes funny. The CFC made them fat, boring and middle aged :| This is what having kids does.

I had no idea what Goon Squad was either...but now from reading this thread, it seems a group of TDS sufferers who make it their mission in life to ruin your game.
