Better tell us how EVE players are suffered from inflation before your FanFest and how PLEXes are killing EVE economics.

Its interesting how we talk about the large surplus of assets in storage but offer the player base no way to attack said assets. Not trying to change the thread but destroyable stations would make eve a more fun place to be in

Gotta love the argument that people make to get rid of the PLEX if you cant afford it doesn't mean they need to get rid of it just means you need to put more effort in to buy it or you simply don't need one. As for the argument that the mineral prices should have shifted immensely from this battle that does not seem likely most alliances that have the facilities to produce capital ships don't just let them sit there empty they are almost always running at full capacity even if they don't need more capital ships one that I know of had 4 sitting on standby because they had no pilots that could fly them but they still kept producing more "for when they are needed" it doesn't stop or start around a single battle so there would barely be a blip from that. I am however surprised unless far fewer subcaps died than I would have thought that there wasn't a production jump from that for at least a few days. Anyone have any semi solid numbers on how many subcaps were popped?

Real world value of virtual ships? Surely you meant real ships or virtual world value. I will go with real ships in real EVE.

Actually, I do think that real world value of virtual ships was exactly what was referred to - conversion being done by way of PLEX exchange rate for RL money and for ISK. I think that calculation was based on a grand total of destroyed pixels equallling the ISK value of around 20,000 PLEX - do the rest of the math in your favourite choice of RL currency :-)

It just goes to show that huge titan and supercap battles, contrary to CCP PR propagande doesn't have an impact on the game!

There was a price peak with an increased trade volume, so it was just a small speculation bubble.

The giant nulsec entities have more then enough resources and ISK to buy anything they need.
The losses had already been "replaced" befora the battle started....

While the average Nulsec slave is not master of his online time to rat and earn ISK like he wanted to, the huge ISK is in the hands of a "happy few"...

And where do ISK go, when one has so much of it, so that there simply is no way of spending it sensibly?
Right, it goes into RMT....

These "happy few" MUST be watched and scrutinized thoroughly by CCP!

Amen to that!

They could allow new players to enter Eve U and would be considered part of Concord and attacking or "Wardecing" on players enrolled would be the same as declaring war on Concord.

Maybe even set up virtual degree programs that develop the characters just like a real University so that new players = new revenue streams could learn to play without getting pod'd the first week because they don't have millions of ISK when they start to pay ransom to bullies. Besides some of the bugs that are in any game you play, this is my single biggest complaints about this game. I know more people that have been run off by other players than actually play!

The AI pirates or "rats" as my fellow corp members call them are one thing...if I were someplace I didn't belong like low or null sec...sure, that is acceptable. But as long as a Wardec can be called on another corp in High Sec...this game will not be my favorite by a long shot. Why have such spectacular graphics if you can't enjoy them for fear of getting jumped by other players!

It's funny you mention the wardec, high-sec mercenaries can pod even if you never saw them or had any kind of contact with them.
This way you need an alt, which means or you don't do almost anything with it all, or you get dual-training (requires PLEX every month) or you get a 2nd account, which means money and monthly payment or PLEX, the only difference is that you can use the 2nd account character at the same time as yours (dual-box). And there is profit, not for you or me of course.

I would like to see a graph showing the activity of PLEX around the time of the battle.

and

In my opinion CCP should make it more difficult for a WARDEC to happen in high security.

The is no such thing as bullying. You must wake up to the fact that there are those in life who walk ON people and those who ALLOW themselves to be walked upon. Stand up for yourself if you feel as if you were being bullied. You are the sole person responsible for letting it happen; others cannot protect you from your own laziness and lack of drive to protect yourself.

Yes, great idea...make it so all the little children can come in here and hide beneath mothers skirts. GROW THE &$#% UP! Deal with life as it happens, train up so you can do it or go play minecraft.

Although now I am sure that you will also complain that someone dared tell you the truth of life and you didn't like it and it hurt your feels. Stop asking others to protect you or trying to get them to put rules into place that will make all the boo boo's go away.

When on the lookout for a bully, look no further than the person saying "There is no such thing a bully" and "stand up for yourself!"

The fact of the matter is that there will always be the strong taking advantage of the weak. And weakness is not always the lack of will to stand up for oneself. Speaking in EVE terms, a younger less trained, less experienced character/player, no matter how willing they are to stand up for themselves, can hope to survive against an older, more trained, more experienced player.

And how does it speak to the actual strength of someone to pick on those who are smaller and/or weaker than themselves?

It speaks only the the mental weakness, laziness and depravity of the mind behind the bully. No, I am certainly not one who partakes in such a pathetic act. However, I have never been one who has accepted any kind of bullying from anyone. I have and will continue to continually go out of my way to teach the weak to be stronger and to stand for themselves. I will never hold them up an blow fairy dust up their bum and tell them that life should always be fair.
There are a multitude of players who are better than I am. Being a better player does not make one a bully; they are utilizing skills that they have developed through dedication.
In all species of life there are the strong and the weak. Those who weather adversity become stronger; those who are sheltered from it become weaker and eventually die off.

It was a nice attempt to label me a bully because I don't believe in enabling the weak to remain weak tho.

Howdy all!! Pirate

Here is a take from a ...errmmmm real old player, I have had so many toons I cant remember some of them...LOL!

“Back in the day Before PLEX” I noticed the prices were much lower. I have a widow I bought from before PLEX days, it cost me then $60.000.000.00. In real world terms that wasn’t very long ago. And back then to fully outfit it cost me around $20.000.000.00 with all the rigs and tech II goodies I wanted. I just did a market search on the Widow I have … 1st of all I couldn’t find one available, second the estimated price of one in un-fitted state is as we speak wasn’t available either but the buyers were paying $572.000.000.00. They will in turn sell it for around 1.4 billion in un-fitted state. You money freaks make the math. In seven year the inflation rate of eve is staggering. But in another sense, it’s all relative too, with PLEX it did make the game more fun with more people in the battles with better ships and IE better loot to gather. Back in the day I had to mine and refine my butt off for a billion isk and do it honestly. Then came the robot miners, then came the Isk sellers from China, to combat this and make things more interesting CCP came back and combated those game wreckers by introducing PLEX. So in doing this they had and knowing did inflate the market, but on the more positive hand they curbed the bots and the Isk sellers. But I have also noticed that way back then there was pride in achieving a number of skills to fly that “Elite” ship and there was that “ Holy **** …look at that guys ship!!” factor which is gone now forever due to PLEX. I also remember logging in seeing every single evening after work the number “45.000 to 65.000 players now playing!” signature.. now I see half that number and it only goes up when there is a huge tourney or some guy sacrificing a titian or capital. Yes from a old timers around here---been here since day one on various accounts which totaled adds up to ridiculous wealth that not many have…lol PlEX is a good thing with its side effects, a pill to take away the pain of robot miners and game currency sellers but it has had its side effects. Like anything done to economics once introduced and left in the system too long it can’t be withdrawn without a devastating effect on the economics’ of the system. So yes it is here to stay and it has its plusses and minuses. It will be interesting to watch how over the next 10 years and beyond when frigates rise to 1 billion each how the developer will react. For me I’m more into the skills I can learn to master more than the ISK….I play the game now. I think that is where it’s at, I still have fun.

Even when I get killed in a 2.5 billion Isk ship… it’s just a game folks.

Enjoy it, live it... PLAY IT!

Eve is still and always will be the ultimate sand box game and I will play it till I drop…lol

Fly safe and may much plunder come to you!

If you feel that way, why are you playing a 100% PVP-based video game? Do you also join CS servers and complain that people shot you?

because SP means everything. herpderp. if you know how to fly, you can do amazing things with little SP. just be smarter, make traps, fly smarter, counter the opponents ship, dont fly something you cant afford etc etc etc. choose ur fights

Maybe I'm missing something here but i don't understand why the mineral market would react at all to these super losses other than market speculation.

I would have assumed that most people who can build supers are already building them at that they would be being produced at a fairly constant rate. I wouldn't have thought it possible for suddenly hundreds more build orders to be started for them. Its not like t1 battleships or cruisers were anyone could jump in to fill the short fall you need a lot of resources and infrastructure to build supers and i would assume the pipeline of production would just carry on as normal.

Again i know fairly little of manufacturing but this at least seems logical to me.

WTF is "cyber bulling"?

Clearly you know what it is or you wouldn't have asked. Sit down
