If you haven't already, and you usually play EvE with your music off (as I do), turn it on and listen to the new song at the login screen. Best song in EvE so far imho

Eve has sound?

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Considering that the vast majority of music that is "out there" is ****, im going to have to assume that you probably have a very generic taste in music and have a tremendous inability to enjoy anything that doesn’t conform to your narrow lackluster industry manufactured taste.

@OP, good theme music is good.

Hey slapnuts, it's trying to pass off as the main theme to some terrible scifi movie set in the 50's with its constant warbling and beeping. And don't get started on what you "assume" my "generic taste" is when CCP are the ones who just caved in and put that FOTM dubstep garbage in their newest trailer (which is also terrible visually as well because it requires text explanations of what actually changed).

Yeah I finally went and listened to it on Youtube. I have sounds off in EvE so I didn't hear it when I logged in yesterday.

If CCP puts in more music like that I will turn sounds back on.

I wasn't around when it was released, but Apocrypha has the best music, in my opinion.

Am I missing something here?

Does EVE really have sound?

Or is that just a sick joke to troll us into getting our hopes up only to have them cruelly dashed against the rocks of disappointment?

Modern music has never been more vapid. Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, 'Alternative' this and 'Alternative' that... all sounds the same to me. Underlying a superficial difference in style is the same basic formula. Music for the masses is dire.

And yet the download monkeys can't illegally download enough of this throwaway tripe.

As for the Crucible them tune, it sounds like a computer programmer, rather than a musician, was asked to 'construct' a suitable internet spaceships game theme tune. It's dreary and it's clichéd. I've heard its variants a million times before in various B-grade SCI FI TV shows and movies.

But if you enjoy it, that's fine. It doesn't matter if your taste in music isn't very developed yet. It's ok, it really is. When I was 5, I used to like nursery rhymes and the tunes from my favourite cartoons. If I can develop a taste in music beyond 3 chords, 3 verses and a chorus, so can you! P

I rather like it actually.
