Cyno alt remote rep aggression flagging question.

If a carrier remote reps a cyno alt, then as long as the cyno alt does not aggress anyone would the carrier be able to dock instantly if it comes under attack?

My thinking is that remote repping inherits the target's flags, the cyno alt isn't aggressing anyone so shouldn't have any flags for the carrier to inherit.

Would that apply the same for repping drones as for a remote repairer module?

Although I haven't tried it in practice, in theory yes, you are correct. The repping carrier will only inherit the PVP timer from the cyno alt (which shouldn't affect you in any way, since you will dock up).

If your going to waste time repping a cyno alt, why are you using a carrier? I mean, cyno alts are usually flying rookie ships....

I think he's fed up of being popped outside the dock over and over again. Doesn't want to risk an expensive ship, so figured he can RR the cyno alt instead to keep it alive.

Not sure why a carrier though. Can fit a pretty nasty tank on a Guardian or Basilisk, enough to hold off attacks while getting your cyno open and ship jumped through.

Just take the cyno ship loss before you lose a carrier

My point was that unless he is using a tanked ship to cyno with, its still going to get alpha'd, reps or not.
