How do you put up with your fanbase, eve has quite possibly the most whiny fan base i have ever seen in my long gaming career, and im interested to actually hear how you deal with it.

I've seen much worse ones...
and they put up with them by podding , nufing and fish slaps

hmm, well then again all the fanbases i hang with are mod heavy (exept DeS, and DkS) so that may mean i havent seen some of the worse ones

First you take two pounds of wadded up cotton and shove it in your ears...pound per ear for you poor Vets out there. THEN you put on a pair of really dark shades...the kind that have you bumping into walls in a brightly lit room. THEN, you put a picture of your poor, sainted mother (who told you she'd MURDER you if you can't say something NICE) on your monitor. The rest is child's play.

EVE's fanbase is honestly one of the less whiny MMO fanbases. you think all the whining about trivial stuff on this forum is bad, you should see Everquest, World of Whinecraft, Vanguard, Rift, etc forums when easily butthurt get up in arms.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

They think "hey what kind of ship can we add that makes it trivial to suicide gank any other ship in the game and then balance the variations so that only one is particularly good at it." Well that's what I'd do. Passive aggressive revenge = best revenge.

criticism and feedback = progress and food for thought. i'd be more worried if the fans didn't give a f***, because then you'd know that they could care less and players who don't care are short lived.

The thing is, it's usually a bunch of ranting and QQ, not real constructive criticism, or the "feedback" is so laden with insults it's not worth reading half the time.

I remember the pain of POS towers shooting friendlies last Spring's expansion. Considering the volume of complaints on UI font, the bugs this time seem comparatively benign. So I'd say you all did a fairly good job keeping the universe together during this expansion; the bug list isn't bad at all. The font looks different; I'll live.

Now...what'dya say you loosen Interbus' grip on nullsec and lower the tax rate a wee bit? :) Hehe, or reduce their CO shield hp to 1,000 so I can blow them up myself.

Well, EVE does have one advantage over most other MMOs, if you find someone who is extra whiny or annoying, you can hunt them down and blow up their stuff. And you'll get extra tears as a bonus in local and on the forums.
