A funny thing happened. Last night I set up 3 skills to train. So I check on them this morning...one of them had completed but the training then stopped leaving the other two. I didnt pause it, it just stopped on its own. I dont know how much time I lost.

Anyone else experience this?

I stopped training to plug in some implants and forgot to start training again for almost a month.

I've had this happen as well. It's a "known issue". Have a look here.

Ah, thanks. I thought i was losing it. Ugh

What tipped me off was remembering 3 skills in que, and finding only two this morning. The training auto-stopped when the first skill finished.

Yep i had this happen to me some time ago. Submit a ticket and they can verify through the logs. I was given sp that covered what i lost.

I'm sort of suspicious that skill training is handled by a separate machine: the "completion imminent" delay really smells of one machine talking to another, or an exceptionally long database lock wait (seems less likely given the duration).

If that is the case, then I could see how a "queue this" message failed to be acted upon, but the current skill completed as expected.

Just a theory, and idle rambling.

Thanks. Went ahead and submitted a ticket. I didnt lose that much time, but I'd hate to have this happen over a few weeks break from game.

This is reason enough to have an out of game skill queue app that you can check up on without having to load the whole eve client.

I imagine something like this happening.

All pilots get into your ship and undock now or get left behind.

"Do I restart my training que or get into my mega now, decisions"

Clicks make active and undocks.

ugh.

I get all buttmad when I forget my training for like, 3-4 hours. I'd probably freak out and beat my head off my desk if I forgot for this long.

Amateurs!

Over the years I've had many alts and restarts and if, for whatever reason, I'd stop playing (them) for a while they would have less SP than they should have had given their age. For me that's enough reason to not play them anymore (or sell them) and start all over again. I'm talking about chars with 15-20+ mil sp.

Been playing for 10 years, I keep switching characters.

Could we get a PLEX-paid service that sends a CCP guy at your doorstep, to remind you that you have to put new skills in your skillqueue? Lol

How about just PLEX for SP? Like redeem a plex for 250,000 SP...

Almost as good and won't cost you a thing - one of the several third party EVE apps will fill the bill nicely, if you have a smart phone.

Personally have had good luck with EVE Watch.

/me after encountering all the other glitches in the game (and been asked to clear my cache each time - to now avail) I wonder why I haven't hit this one.. hmmm time to beat head on wood in advance....

Last week I dropped a skill into my training window and forgot to hit "apply". Where would I be without EvEMon? Best app ever.

a good way to prevent this is to look on the reset tab of the setting menu, and find the option that asks you before accepting changes to the skillque. its annoying to accept every time, but its a good way of knowing when something is wrong if that pop up does NOT show up.

Been there, done that. I dont think there exists an adequate face palm to express how one feels when they finally spot the que not moving along. X
