Your login credentials are stored in autofill. Gain physical access to a machine that has logged into the website and the account names that have logged in are stored in the form and that is just silly.

So? That's the case with ... a lot of websites... and your fault? Because you can turn of Autofill in your browser... Roll

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Nice grasp on security you have there. Got any other dumb **** you want to say?

It's an entry point for a malicious person and not everybody is as on-the-ball as you are.

Then you better learn to dance on your ball(s)? A lot of stuff can be used by malicious people and that's only because the rest of the users want convenience. Please also complain about the autofill of your user name in the launcher, and ingame in the login screen of the game itself, if it bothers you on the website. And please also complain to facebook about autocomplete your name.

You have no idea what i'm even getting at.

I was in Best Buy, decided to pull up the eve login website and there were usernames in the autofill.

My own account is secure. There are people out there who do not take this sort of thing into consideration and log into the forums from a public terminal.

I'm offering a simple suggestion to add a layer of security for those subscribers who aren't as aware.

Bet hey, if you want to argue for the sake of arguing go ahead and continue.

They have to learn then. I mean, it is in my opinion common sense that you don't log in to secure websites in publicly accessible computers - especially after all the well-covered security lecks and issues with big companies lately. It should also be common sense for Best Buy to disable autocomplete in such machines and take further precautions that such data is not stored on such machines. Were the passwords stored as well? Twisted

Your "suggestion" is not really a suggestion; posting your last post first would have been a better idea to start with. Additional layers of security are nice, but why has it always to be the lowest common denominator, in this case serversidedly not allowing to store any data in website forms? Why can't people just be educated properly?

As much as I, too enjoy the misery of others this suggestion was made because I think it would benefit the game, developer and the edit: chromosome-abundant portion of subscribers without causing undue grief for the rest of us (Unless you have some ridiculous username that can't be banged out in 1 second of typing).
