I'm new to the game and watching/ reading about faction warfare is what got me into the game and was wondering what it took ship wise to run lvl 1 fw missions?

Level 1 missions are fairly pointless. You can make LPs and standings quicker running plexes in backwater systems.

If you're insistent about it, you can run them in a decently fitted frigate or a destroyer though.

Basically if you run plexes for a few days you'll make a ton of LPs and enough standings to access Lvl3 or 4 missions which you can run quickly and safely in a bomber, there's little sense in playing the low end missions by the book :)

machiavelli your using your old FW knowledge bro. with inferno ccp nerfed the standing increase from running plexs, lvl1 missions are now better in terms of standing.

Confirming. Running FW plexes gives you neglible standing gain.

A decently fit shield buffer tank T1 frigate is all you need. Get in, kill the target, get out. You don't need to PvE fit your frig for a L1 FW mission.

If I wanted to try faction warfare as a noob (I would make a new char for it) whats the best way of going about it? The goal is to a) have fun b) watch stuff explode and very distant c) make isk.

Are there any corps that recruit new players and show them or should I just make an alt, send it out there and start running missions? its low sec so I guess I can always just go attack people when I get bored.
