Doubleplus Bad News: if you're a gamer who's deep into your education, you're a neckbeard and you're still stuck with no social life.

I'm not a neck-beard basement dweller because I don't have a basement to dwell in.

Believe me, if I did, I would so dwell in there. Like some kind of neck-beard having troll.

Been a gaming since the early 80's, and it appears that has rubbed off onto my little minion.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

Of course not! We all are Vault Dwellers from Vault 514, where we are hooked up to a mega-server device that puts us in a completely fictional world as powerful immortal beings as our real bodies are more than 300 year old and will probably be alive forever in the simulation as the systems in the vault are autonomous.

If this is indeed the case, are we clean shaven?

Hey! Some of of neck beards actually have jobs, and actually have a bedroom, upstairs (not in the attic) like normal people. 11 hours days, 6 days a week on a second shift doesn't give you much time for a social life.

"Study finds gaming augments players’ social lives"

In reading that I made a discovery, for I did not previously know that it was possible to assemble an entire team of researchers who didn't already know this. I have to question their credentials as scientists.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."
