An alliance member and I were talking and he put forward a good tinfoil hat speculation... Rubicon, the river that Caesar crossed... And in the new devblog the first line was 'The road to Rome'...

Now, Rome was known for three things (not including Wine): Its Empire. Its fall. Their road building.

So, they're sorting out minerals and mining to pave the way forward for the road to Rome and the Rubicon "no turning back".

In other words, player built stargates (roads), building empires (self explanetory) and a massive influx of Rubicon river style "**** there's no turning back"...

*takes of tinfoil hat*

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

I wouldnt mind more space. Another 2-3 thousand stars might do the trick.

I really hope we'll see new industry opportunity's in the form of new deployable's to build and possibly even building things for Dust!

... waits for ALL jumpgates, everywhere, to be turned over to player owned control -- and absolutely subject to destruction and replacement by players just like POCO's.

Predicts vast shitstorms and much abuse of monuments as The Mob cries out for heads to be stuck on pikes.

Concludes it would be one Hell of an expansion all the same, and amusing to the point that Hip Waders would be added to the NeX store as the flood of tears would quickly reach and exceed Biblical proportions.

The things i always want:
A new super flexible UI thats not based on windows but more integrated into space if you know what i mean. I hate having to play the game through a small hole in all my windows.

More additions to pi. I want, at least, a simple version of sim city in space.

More_fun_ modules, not just different ways to minmax your ****. I want things that changes the dynamic of the fight.

More player control of things. Since stargates are actually being talked about now that would be a good place to start.

More interesting pve. I would rather fight 5 hard and smart rats than 50 dumb and easy.

Redesigning stupid looking ships. By stupid im mostly talking about ships that don't "look their size" or overly unsymetrical.
An example of not looking its size is the incursus with its motorcycle exhaustpipes and knightly lance.
An example of a ship that does look its size are the newer destroyers like the algos and the corax. Most redesigns and new ships have been spot on so i hope it continues like that.

What i expect:
More buildup to something coming soon™.

Rome is also known for something else:

Not being built in a day.

This speculation is guaranteed to be correct as we already have spaceships and it's not likely that they will just disappear, what we'd LOVE to hear is if there will be NEW spaceships :p (And not just more fun/awesome/fantastic skins).

ohh, there's a good idea for a Nex store item: AUR for a 2-pack of every kind of creature in EVE.

It´s amazing to read people complaining about the constant balancing, I guess they have forgotten the times when something was broken or overpowered for years. It´s not so long ago.

That said my bet: industry IU makeup, pirate frigates/cruiser/BS rebalance, hacs rebalancing pass and a pretty vid with CCP Guard being podded.

F*** This Game

More clothing options, that's not a huge ask.

I mean does anyone remember the old portraits, no one looked the same back then. People moan it's a waste of dev time but they'll be happy to use those options to customize their avatar so they standout. Even the pvp pros.

I'd like to see more racial costume's again, stuff that shows off the different cultures better than the handful of coats and shirts we have now.
More role specific clothes as well, do you want to look like a scruffy mechanic? or a trim marketing executive?

Everything we have at the moment is quite limited and very 'fashion' ... all the female options for footwear is heels? blegh.

Yes more balancing, yes more features and God yes more and more ships!

But spare a little time for character customisation... I want a lab coat and sensible boots damn it!

POS rights that can be set up in a way that makes sense and POS-hangars separate from corp hangars at last.

Or hell I would even settle for setting up a POS with an interface that makes sense.

So, the first wave in the assault on high sec was a massive hit in mission income, plus a huge nerf in low skill high sec miners, and a MASSIVE buff in null sec mineral output (the evil CSM mouthpiece from the failed lawyer's crew estimates at least a 17% advantage in T1 ship building over high sec mineral requirements, and equates it as 25-35M per battleship in pure advantage in null sec.).

So let's see what else you guys plan on ruining in high sec (and yeah, I just read mynnna's comments were this is just the tip of the iceberg of June changes, guess the NDA does not mean much when you are a null sec cartel member):

You, and others, have openly stated your hatred of high sec mfg slots, so they are pretty much hammered by June.
You, and others, have openly stated your hatred of high sec ISK incomes, so high sec incursions and high sec mission incomes are facing a massive nerf. Once high sec income is about 10% of the lowest null sec income, then you might be satisfied.

Other goodies I figure you will try to ram through, but even CCP will pull back the reigns a bit on:
Doubling Concord response times.
Easing of restrictions of -10 players running through high sec, so they can park on gates and gank away.
Not allowing T2 ships into any plex in high sec.
Increasing all NPC DPS and HP by 2, thereby smashing mission runners' and incursion runners' income even further

Looks like I should have taken you up on that billion ISK bet.

Now, let's just see how many things I get right in the next few weeks.
And you told me that you were not going after high sec income, right before the nerf to refining and loot was announced.
My fault, I should never have trusted a null sec cartel member.

Rubicon

After that our appetites are huge. Rubicon bringed new content but is it worth to be called after one of most important event in Rome ancient history? As i understand players will have abilities to build own stargates in the future. My question is for what? Just new gates between known space? Gates to "new" systems? Gates to WHs? How will they work and how much resources players will need to build them?

Which feature has the most impact on our gameplay after Rubicon? Warp changes. One, for all capsuleers in New Eden.
Do player build gates will have similiar effect? No. It will be for huge corps and alliances.

Devs constantly improving EvE in direction they choose, with certain vision. There are two new space games at horizon, and EvE will loose its supremacy on the market. From what i read about these new products, they will be some features that EvE don't have at the moment. After all its all about space ships.

I'm bored at work, drifting of into the wildest speculations, imagine:
New space, player built gates. On the other side there is no local, no map, no market, no stations, no infrastructure what so ever; unless you build it. Players will have to colonize one system at a time, pressing forward Oregon trail style.
To add to this ordeal my imagination runs rampant with ways to crush the played will to live. I saw a video with a test for space weather for example.
Another, more long shot way to bully the weak out of this area would come from another title ccp is currently working on, world of darkness.
For those familiar the phrase torpor should ring a bell. :-D
When podded in this space you would have to wait x hours before your clone activates due to the distance or whatever.

Horrible idea but man do i love unforgiving gameplay.

Yeah it'll be just like that time that Star Wars: The Old Republic killed EVE. Or Star Trek Online killed EVE. Or Black Prophecy.

The "two new space games at horizon" will have a 13 year development headstart to catch up. If you think either of them are going to launch with anything remotely close to all the working features they've "promised", then I have a $10,000 Elite Star Hyper-Admiral++ Founders Pack to sell you on Kickstarter.

What's the other one? I'm guessing star citizen is one but what's the other one?

Also; seems to me that SC is going to scratch a different itch than eve. I'm gonna play both in pretty sure.
