After the patch yesterday, we found ourselves in a fairly sizeable cluster. There were a lot of branches, each one leading to several other systems, meaning we had long parallel tracks.

Thanks to the new Corp Locations, our scanners never had to return to share the new connections they found. Even five jumps down one chain you would get the bookmark for the new hole found five jumps down a different one. Everyone who logged in had a complete set. Coordination was easy and scanning went faster than it ever has before, and we could easily move ourselves around as situations developed.

When I finally logged off last night, there were 43 corp locations for navigating our cluster, and I'm sure we added more after I left. By the old system, for anyone just logging in, that would take well over a minute for the hanger to load. Some people probably would never get those bookmarks because the long hanger load would cause their client to crash.

On behalf of our little corner of w-space, thank you, CCP Tuxford and everyone else who worked on corp locations. To K-space denizens it may be a convenience, but to W-space it is a godsend. Along with probe alt-drag, even after just one day I have no idea how we survived without it.

That said, there are some quirks where some people seem to sync at different rates, but that's a discussion for another thread. This one's just appreciation Blink

Seconded.

Definite game changer.

A great one this time!

Thirded. This has been something I've been wishing for since wormholes came out. It's so nice to see it finally implemented.
