We all fit our ships when playing EVE Online, (if you are one of those that doesn’t, you really should start) and having a way to plan ahead and test what you are doing before buying all of the more expensive modules is a very important thing. There are a number of tools out there to help with fitting and one of them is hosted on this site.

http://null-sec.com/ is the home of Hangar; an in-browser fitting tool that has a lot of extra features to allow you to test the fit you have created. Currently you can share a fit you have created as well as search for other fits for specific ships; discuss, rate, and tag them; save your own fits if you create a profile on the page so you can easily store your own created fits, and then finally apply all sorts of effects on your ship by pitting it against other fits or making a mocked up ally assist you.

That is not all for the site, however. During Alliance Tournament XI we provided end-points of data for all matches in the tournament for people in the community to use and create summaries, statistics, and other fantastic things. That is precisely what happened! Now again during the New Eden Open II, you can find a total breakdown of all matches (that had no issues) including a replay of the movements and actions of the pilots, with each team having a stats page and a list of pilots.

Whether you want to test your fit in a variety of ways or catch up on any of the tournaments that are being run, http://null-sec.com/ is definitely a Fansite to keep an eye on and use.

There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The featured Fansite is picked at random every two weeks to showcase the important, community driven work these content creators bring to EVE Online.

This worth nothing if you guys at ccp just nerf the good ways to earn a big amount of isk and i am safe only in 0.9 or higher system.

I have used this site since it came out for all of my fitting needs; since I unfortunately am relegated to using the mac client, it represents a nice alternative to EFT for on the fly fitting, and any off-hand ideas I might want to bring up and tinker with. The UI for the site is wonderful, and although it has its flaws and limitations, I love it immensely; I can even use it on my phone to its fullest extent. It's amazing! :)

Nice site and nice idea and I hope CCP will one day integrate a proper fitting tool into the client.

If you think you're safe anywhere, it's an illusion. You're safer in Null-Sec if you ask me.

Give non-high sec a try, you may like it. Yes you will lose isk, but that's kind of the point of the game.

^^^^^ this and yea null is safer u know who is going to kill you and who is not flat out in highsec its all a dice throw.

@ccp a nice in game fitting tool would be awesome maybe an overlay mode that you could drag and drop mods on in the fitting window so u could drag and drop from market to fit ships before u buy the mod

Yeah if we could discuss the site and not do the usual GD risk / reward debate, that would be great.

If you want to make ISK, get out of your Shinny 3 billion isk + Battleship and get into a cheap T1 PVP frig and go to FW.....

I love the in-browser fitting tool idea. Sadly I tried to use the Hangar interface using a mac (snow-leopard) and I couldn't upload my API data using Chorme, Firefox or Safari . I click the "Submit" button but nothing happens.

Can you please let us know if Hangar is usable in Mac browsers? If so, what browser/version are you using?
thanks and congrats for the site!
