No lights and no assembly/painting required
No idea of the scale but a model that fits on a shelf (25 - 35cm length)

For sizing, I'd like it to be a decently detailed model, but not too large. A 1/100 scale perhaps.

For this one, if there was a way to get the blinking LED's in, I'd be uber happy. But again, cost is an issue with that. So for lighting, I'd like both red and blue lights to be on, and the front "face light" to maybe be midway on.

They want all comments on a preceding line? This means the last line should be the model? I'm not sure, just trying to follow instructions.

Stratios

Dear Lord this is a beautiful ship. I would love it. Being a cruiser, and seeing as how there's tonnes of little details that could be fit in, this would have to be a larger size. I'd go for something that's around 2 feet in length.

This is aweseome feedback, there is obviously a very strong interest in ship models. Someone asked what kind of sizes and prices we are looking at, and the answer is that we are looking at different parts of the spectrum. We want to provide something affordable, which still stands up to quality. And then we also want to do something for those that really want a massive, huge pimped out ship with no holds barred. When looking at the market and other major sci-fi properties that have done ship models, we can see that these ubermodels are actually quite popular and can really tie a room together.

To be honest, even if I go for a pimped-out, expertly-painted model, I'd probably not want something massive. A couple shiny, oh-my-god-pretty models for the desk (a perfectly-modeled Harpy at coffee mug size, a more-or-less proportional Falcon?) would be perfect, and I'd be willing to spend plenty on it. :x

Also, if you do physical models again, cache the user info so that if you do any more CQ development (whenever that happens, 5, 10 years from now), you can gift those players in-game versions of the model to put on their spacedesk. ;)

The Magnate. Amarrian ships rule, but this is one of my favorites.

And size-wise the size of the old models was great (maybe a little to much for a frigate but you could scale them down)

I'm going to suggest something a little different: The four Strategic Cruisers with swappable subsystem components, so you can "mix 'n match" your models.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

ORCA

As a miner I would like to have an Orca with lightning. Full colours (if there are some under the crust). Size up to 50 cm?

Make them paintable and come with different viable turret/launcher kits, a set of each (e.g. one set of small blasters + one set of small hybrids for Incursus - assembly required). Not built to the same scale but a noticable difference between ship classes.

Scale is important, but quality should not be compromised even with the smaller models.

A 2-3 inch Nemesis or Astero or example would look fantastic next to the computer, while a much more substantial Megathron would indeed look quite majestic on the shelf.

I am tempted to suggest the Vexor and the Helios too, because I love those ships so very much, but the truth is that like many of the older ship designs they would not translate very well to physical models. Other popular ships absent from this thread have that in common, and I really feel that faithful redesigns of aging classics *cough*domi*cough* are still the right way to go.

And, well, any supercarrier/Titan-class ships. Because now they are iconic to EVE, they define EVE in Media.
P.S. If you decide to go for Ragnarok - it's a win-win: you create a ship AND help the environment by recycling a giant amount of rusted scrapmetal.

Having been a miniature builder and painter for over 12 years (Warhammer 40k mostly) I would really enjoy seeing these as multi-part injection-molded plastic kits. As far as the scale goes; bigger is better. But you can also do 1/1000 scale so you can have the ships be proportionate to each other. OR you can just make the ships (i.e. Stratios) roughly 6 inches long and properly proportioned from there. As far as which ships; do as many as you can!

Also; multi-part should have different pieces that you can assemble onto the model for options i.e. guns, modules, drones, etc.
