Beam lasers or Pulse lasers / Large lasers or Medium lasers ?

Greetings,


I mining solo in null and I want to fitting a ship with lasers on an alt, only for protect my miner against npc's from the belts. I mention that the npc's from here are Sansha's Nation.
My questions are:
1. Beam lasers, Pulse lasers or a combination of both against them?
2. Large lasers, Medium Lasers or a combination of both against them?

What ships can your alt fly? Battleships? Battle Cruiser?

Best bet would probably be an apoc with pulse and scortch. If you do not have tech 2 lasers than an apoc with beams and multifrequency

Im assuming you are aligned and know your stuff to be mining solo in null...but anyway

I would use a harbinger personally, fitted with med T2 beams, make sure your tanked for EM/Thermal with a rep or two. Pretty easy stuff but then in used to it, being a provi resident and all. So yeah, med T2 beams should be able to handle any eats that cone your way...although others players are still going to be your biggest threat What?

Fit all 4 just in case you need the extra damage or tracking.

So, I will use an Apocalypse Navy Issue.

Mega pulse laser 2. Optimal range of 80km (2 tracking computers with opt range scripts) using scorch. insane dps with multifreq and far better tracking then beams. what is not to love?
If you can't use the T2 guns then don't fly this ship or if you insist anyway then use beams as it is the scorch that makes pulse lasers shine.
