I now hate pulsars more than black holes, it was like shooting a pos that waited till it dipped into armor and trolled you by repping up to 100% shield again for over an hour, apparnelty it was also immune to ewar as the 52 heavy neuts we had on him didnt do jack!

I recommend cloaky nullified proteus w/ ecm tengu support for this sort of job. Bring at least 3 armor lokis to web it down. 5 or 6 guardians to make sure you're safe.

Yeh Chimera's tank like a boss in Pulsars. Used to live in J115933, didn't realise it was full of goons now :)

Thought they had left - they had 3 capital bearing fleets dunked in as many weeks and looked like they'd packed it in.

I agree with Sith1s :) and Bubble.

But, were there other ships not present on the killmail? Because I'm not certain how you could've gotten 52 neuts on him with the comp that shows on the mail.
Looks like there would need to be about 40 unbonused neuts (bring bhaals) to break cap regen and the pilot didn't really have much in the way of cap regen implants in. I wouldn't think you had enough neuts with just the geddons.

Sometimes it's best to just assume exageration and/or 'rough numbers' when reading forum posts. Most numerical facts in forum posts crack and even sometimes crumble under the weight of a good abacus.

I read it and just assumed he was going for flavor when he said 52 neuts.

Side note on bhaals - you can make a pretty sweet cap stable bhaal for c5 pulsars that just needs a pilot (no special implants required). To quote one of the original wh masters "Once you put on the 6th CPR.... thats when the real magic starts to happen" What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Maybe they refit the mach for neuts and were calculating the equivalent of heavy neuts from the curse :P

A bhaal unless seriously pimped will vaprose at the first hint of a bhaal in a C5/6 pulsar.

I am sad :( I was at work when this happened but had a chance to listen to my guys on mumble.

They had just finished a site and the carrier was there to look after the noctis (from the trigger) and got tackled, the rest of the escalation team was tired at that point and had already gone to bed. We had a second carrier that could have come back to save him but we decided there was a pretty good chance the VOC guys were just baiting a capfight so with our cap numbers now limited the call to not engage was made.

Our carrier pilot who already has his "D33k DOWN" reputation had triage and tried to kill the trigger with his fighters but wasn't able to, had something like 984 stront and 40 or so minutes until he finished training minmatar drone spec 1. Which I think most people were histerically laughing on comms about. Even more so when he asked for an inteceptor to warp to him and drop off 16 stront so he could get another triage cycle in which he got :D

I would have liked to bring in some more caps but it wasn't a good time for myself and my pilots but at least you got some loot out of it.
