Inter-hub trading?

So i made my little trading character, and it has been going well doing station trading. I have done a bit of inter-hub trading using a courier service.

I have a couple trading alts stationed at different hubs just to check prices.

Im not sure if there are an easier way, but i have been traveling around to update orders at different hubs with the same character.
Is there a clever way to transfer items between alts other than going to the station and just trading it with the alt stationed there so she can take care of business?

Tips appreciated

You can put the characters in to a corp and they can buy (on behalf of the corp) in to the same corp deliveries hangar. This doesn't require a corp office.

Alternatively, you can just use contracts to transfer the items remotely.

You can right click the items then create contract (make sure to select private, then type in your alt's name) to transfer them specific characters, or create your buy orders on behalf of a corp both characters are in and the items bought will be placed in a communal market deliveries hangar.

Give this a read too, it's always good to know about contracts: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Contract

Ok that sounds good.

So you are saying if they are ind the same corp, they get a shared item hangar usable from anywhere or how does that work precisely?

And if i use contracts is it an item exchange contract and dont i have to pick that up?

It's sort of like a hangar, but the only way you can put items in Market Deliveries is from corp buy orders, expired corp sell orders or accepting contracts on behalf of the corp.

Items do not magically teleport, if you give something to someone with an Item Exchange it will still be in the same location, like would happen if you station traded it to them, except you can do it remotely.

That corp suggestion sounds good, but i just chekked and cant seem to find a place where i can check a box so its on the behalf of the corp.

And maybe im to tired atm but dont understand the advantage from contracts if its still in the same location.
So can you elaborate please

When you create a buy or sell order, click advanced then the check box that says something about a corp.

Contracts can be created and accepted remotely, private ones can be accepted from anywhere, but you have to be in the same region as a public contract to accept it. It's more convenient than station trading items between characters, but less convenient than creating buy/sell orders on behalf of the corp.

Also, eve-central.com or eve-marketdata.com for region prices. And jump clones to avoid having to actually fly everywhere. Public courier contracts for corporation assets are a real gift to region traders.

Just set up a trading corp of your own for your alts.

Nice posts by Zappity! Yes it is truly fast and cheap to set up your own corp! With the corp contract skill trained you can get a lot of contracts! :)

If your current corp let you do that, then steal everything you can, then leave to set up your own one. You'll need your own one soon anyway.

Be aware that anyone else in the corp with sufficient roles will be able to access the items you have bought.

Its just me and my RL friend in the corp, so not worried about scamming.
I will definitely setup a corp so i can test the possibilities

Understand that the Market Deliveries hangar for a corp is a very limited hangar.

Anything bought on behalf of the corp (meaning with the corp wallet) is placed in a Market Deliveries hangar at the location where the item was purchased. These hangars can be accessed by anyone in the corp with the rights to do that and they can then move the goods to their own personal hangar, or contract the items for the corp directly from this hangar.

You cannot move something from your personal hangar into a Market Deliveries hangar.

You can remotely (with the right roles) deliver an item(s) from the market deliveries to a corp member's personal hangar. This works across the universe and is not limited to regions or by skill. You cannot sell items directly from this hangar.

FYI when you open the corp tab, under assets there will be a tab marked deliveries where you can see where you have items.

You're young, you'll adjust. I'm old, I'll get used to it.

You can contract items to yourself, then accept them on behalf of the corp and they will end up in Market Deliveries.

That is true, but it's more of a workaround and involves a few separate steps. I'm also not sure if you can accept a contract from yourself, even if it's on behalf of the corp/issued by the corp.
