Mishirosen Goonwaffe recruitment scam

This has probably already been posted but wanted to give a heads up to new players out there. I got this email from Mishirosen on my trading alt character inviting players into the GSF and promising riches in 0.0 space.

Hi there, as Recruitment Director of Goonwaffe I am pleased to announce that you have been selected for 's 2014 recruitment drive! This is a rare opportunity that is not given out often!
If you are interested, simply EVEmail me back with a short message telling me about yourself and what you like to do in EVE. I will get back to you ASAP. If you have friends that also want to join they are hereby invited to contact me for a chance at recruitment as well.
Not interested yet? No worries, your name has been put on a whitelist and you can always contact me later if you change your mind.

Who is GoonWaffe?
is one of EVEs biggest corporations, and the leading corporation of the Goonswarm Federation, the most prestigious and influential alliance in the entirety of EVE. We own vast swathes of 0.0 space and have an unparalleled combat and financial record. Normally our recruitment is closed to everyone but people from the somethingawful.com forums and a select few individuals, but we decided that until December 31st 2014 our doors are open to a larger selection of people.

I'm not really a fan of PvP, is there a place for me?
Absolutely! Any good miner or manufacturer knows that it is his (or her) work that enables all the ships we field to be built in the first place, and it is the taxes we earn from PvEers that gives our corporation the enormous warchest that it uses to project its power anywhere in the galaxy. We aim to provide a place suitable for all these kinds of people to thrive and become wealthy, and have done so successfully by providing systems free from hostiles and a logistics and market infrastructure to suit your every need for many years now. On top of that there are NO MANDATORY OPS. All participation in corp and alliance events is completely optional.

I am a huge fan of PvP, what is there for me?
There are fleets up nearly 24/7 for every size and type of PvP you can think of, anywhere from 10 to 2000 pilots flying anything from frigates to capital ships. You name it we got it. You will never be required to participate in any fleet you don't want to participate in, and we have a full reimbursement program for every ship you lose in a fleet, so there is no need to be afraid of losing your ISK fighting with us. We also have programs to get pilots into capital ships cheaply and easily if they so desire.


If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask me, there's no such thing as a stupid question.

So just a heads up if you're new and got this. It's a scam.

I don't see how that is a scam. Sounds like he offered you a great opportunity, and you jumped to conclusions about it.

I would like to be a member of Goonwaffe, but am not a member of the Something Awful site like every other Goonwaffe member. Is there a place for me in Goonwaffe?

Yes, but you will have to clean toilets and shine the 'pure' Waffe members' pods for many years until you get on The List.

Usually easier just to pay the Pig his $10 and get on the forums.

Goons are just getting lazy with their scams now. Cmon man put some effort into your scams. Really the old recruitment scam still working for you if so kudos but really. Goons should really try scamming their pets oh wait they already are my bad.


Edit: OP if you really want to screw with these guys see how long they will play along with emails and their recruitment. Constantly email them questions and leave them thinking this player is actually going to fall for your scam. See how many emails it takes untill they stop responding or start conving them in-game constantly untill they block you. In other words waste their time as much as possible this works for all scammers. If I could post chat logs here I would have a thousand where I drove a scammer nuts untill he threatened to report me hahaha.

Fun thing is that it is actually not that difficult to get into Goonswarm Federation, all it takes is a bit of research and using some common sense.

Of course, this apparently is where most people fail...

I talk to 4 people at once most of the time. Even if only one of them gives me all of their stuff, my time wasn't wasted.

I fail to see the scam. Nothing was asked for. No isk. No API. Nothing beyond "Drop me a line if you're interested in the idea."

Bad troll, irrational hate and lame sperg belongs in GD, not C&P. Proof of scam or you are just clogging up the forum.X

I was hunting for sick loot, but all I could get my hands on were 50 corpses[:|]..............[:=d]

Here is a tip when you right to Mittani.

He absolutely adores these type of things. o/ \o \o/ o7

So put as many such symbols as possible. In fact, all goons love those symbols.

Next thing you do is you call him Shlomo, because that is his first name btw, he does not like to be called Mittani.

At last, you do not ask the Mittani, you order him, so if you need isk back or something then order it from him, only then will you have respect.
