Good evening guys and girls.

So i recently just found the eve bet website and it looked like a good idea, So i played a little bit with them and everything was going smoothly. Did not win 1 bet but that was my fault for picking bad teams Big smile

A few evenings ago i put a bet on and it had a wrong team in the bet that i did not actually want to bet on, i sent a message to the admins asking if they could get it rectified and they rectified it for me. No harm done on either side.

2 days ago i placed a bet and accidently left a team out, i sent them this mail via hotmail.

22/03/2014

" hey guys i just put this bet on could you void it for me i forgot to add a selection. it dosent start for another 45 mins but if it has started by the time you read this please leave the bet as it is cause i would still prefer the single selection to nothing :P"

i checked and made sure the selection was still on at kick off time and it was, which was fine, was my mistake.
The bet lost which again is not an issue.

Well this evening i decided i wanted to place a bet on the rugby. I quickly put 1 billion isk on this guy and deposited the isk to the eve bet corporation as eve bet runs off an api system that runs every 30 mins and there was only 2 mins left to get the funds to my account.

I then proceed to try log into my eve bet account out of game but it was not letting me log in so i thought id check my mail to see if the password has been changed or anything.

I had this mail in my inbox

"Thanks for bringing this to our attention, your new account has been banned.

Have a nice day

Track your support ticket here - http://www.eve-bet.com/User/ViewTicket.aspx?id=192

EVE Bet Support"

I really dont understand what is going on, maybe i was betting too high amounts of money and they got scared? but comming from a website who claims "62,869,053,780,043 ISK bet so far on EVE Bet!" i seriously doubt that.
I have eve mailed them back asking for an explination and why they ran off with my money but no reply as of yet.

The wierd thing is they say "thanks for bringing this to our attention your "NEW" account has been banned.
new??? Im thinking they maybe had somebody else who used to screw them around with bets to try screw them out of money and think im the same guy i dont know. Either way at this point they have 1bn isk of my money and have no replyed to my mails.

I would not trust eve bet at this point. they have the potential to steal your isk and not give the service they are offering!!!
Is there eve rules about this?? can somebody offer a service out of game paid with in game currency but just steal it and not provide the service??

any help appreciated

How bout you ask them instead of discrediting a service I've been using for ages and have not had a issue with

EDIT: fail misread, Looks like something to do with you voiding your bets - Perhaps they think you are a previous guy they have had trouble with hence the new account.

You should probably assume that any EVE-related betting or gambling website isn't trustworthy.

Perhaps waiting more than two days before screaming on the forums might be an idea?

Hey guys, now that we finally got SOMER Blink in 'trouble' and satisfied our hurt feelings from gambling more than we could afford to away, let's kick up a fuss about someone else and manufacture a new scandal!

No.

Reading that OP maybe, maybe a good idea not to bet until you know what you're doing. :o

Getting your ISK stolen sounds like a case for the cyberpolice.

It didn't take long to locate the tracking beacon, deep inside the quarters for sleepin' They thought they could get away Not today, it's not the way that this kid plays

This will be our first and only post on the matter. Only because we do not wish our name to be publically tarnished despite preferring to keep these sort of matters private.

The OP neglects to mention that under a different account, he was actually a staff member for a brief period early on not long after we launched. He stole ISK from our corporation wallet and disappeared.

Under a new account, he made the mistake of contacting our support email innocently regarding a bet. This was the same email address used previously when he was a staff member and stole from us.

EDIT: The explanation of the account banning was sent to the email address on the new account (which was a fake account and the email bounced). The OP also named his fake email address after the original account that stole from us/got banned.

He will likely dispute this and act innocent in the thread. We have our proof and acted accordingly. We will not indulge in a public back and forth on this matter. The 1 billion ISK frozen on his account is less than the amount stolen.

In 18 months of operation we've banned less than 5 accounts total, so this is by no means a "EVE Bet steals people ISK" thing. 63 trillion ISK has passed through our hands and we are always fair to our customers.

Good day

Stop betting when drunk/high.

I mean you submitted several improperly filled bets in as many weeks, as well as tickets to correct for your own mistakes (and theirs).

Anyways I think this kind of out-of-game use of ISK is an abomination.
I wouldnt use them, and if you get scammed doing so, thats your own problem.

Because its not directly under CCPs auspices or the EULA, feel free to go ahead and file a police report.
Takes about an hour (in a moderately developed first world country) and the police and prosecutor can then decide whether it possibly constitutes a crime and whether to investigate and possibly prosecute.

Thanks OP.

I was considering trying it out to see what it was like, but if they're untrustworthy, I will not risk it.

wow.
You are completley out of your mind if you think i was a previous staff member...
That explains why you stole my isk but you are completley wrong.

1 billion isk is not a back breaking amount of isk, but its the principle.

This.

You are using an unregulated service for gambling (which is a scam even when legitimate) on a game that is famous for scams and heists. Shocked

I suggest that next time you arm yourself with a jar of mayonnaise and use a legitimate ISK doubler.
