Do people actually want to paint their ships fully knowing that if it dies, all the pwweeety paintjob goes away as well?
And boy are they expensive, I think this hobby will be for the space rich people while the peanut gallery can only scowl in envy.

Gank magnets? not really. Also a lot of people are shelling out the couple million ISK for a flashy merlin or incursus, they are flying all over the place in factional warfare. Most people play this game because it is about spaceships and love the new skins.

They aren't expensive. The skins are fun.
