So after being in W-space for close to 4 years, I have used just about every flavor of ship for static carebearing. RR Tengu, Heavy armor tech 3s with gaurds, marauders, and sentry hospital domis. Even drakes and nighthawks. They all have their uses and their ups and downs, they all take about the same amount of time for finish a static site 15-20 minutes, and they all are pretty easy to use.

So just brings me to the question of what are your favorite ships to farm statics? You like low manning with domis or marauders? Are you fond of the RR tengu, using your pvp ships for pve, pimp fit marauders, or domis? Or are you one of those poeple who slum it in drakes and nighthawks?

mag sites aside, do people really still farm statics in C5-6 holes?

The biggest bearmobile of them all... the mighty rorqual (may or may not be trolling).

Over the years used drake, tengu, gila, kronos, guardian as part of a group, etc. haven't bothered with farming statics in a long time now though.

Currently finding RR sentry domi to be pretty damn effective. 4 of them can clear c5 sites in 20 minutes or less and have a low chance of being ganked. (MJD was the biggest buff to jewing since heavy missiles)

because not all of us are leet carrier/dread pilots with the numbers for escalations and must still suckle at the teat of our static sites, until we become big kids too.

There is something to be said about wormholes. I've held back for a long time in saying it but no longer.

There is no such thing as isk/hour in wormholes.

If you have to scan out your chain and then form up for another hour and then run sites for an hour making a bill. You did not makea billion an hour. You made 333m an hour. This metric goes WAY down if you stop making money for the rest of the day.

So with that being said you probably understand my thought process now. I can dual box a sub 400m isk ship get a buddy and clear static sites in 20 minutes. If i get jumped... i dont care. I have made back the money I paid for my domi 20 times over by then. As opposed ro expo holes. Sure you can make a ton in a few days, but if you get unlucky enough to get quantum exploded, or blood unioned, or hard knocks on a good day, you lose about a quarrer of your profits in losses.

I think some of the bigger corps get to the point where they 'need' to use the static for isk. A C5 will make a 20 character corp super space rich over time. A 150+ character corp will slowly wither and die of starvation in a C5 unless it looks outward.

Because it's so big Jack... that is 'Jesus why?' (you really need to place some alts in these big monsters - it's entertaining to say the least)

At the end of the day I would bend towards 'who cares'. There are a lot of corps/alliances on a lot of different wrungs of the WH ladder. If we all did it the same way...... Boring.

I am eagerly awaiting the day i can get on and proclaim "I'm a big kid now" and then lose a titan just because.
