World of tanks matchmaking out of whack recently?

Just putting it out here, I'm now regularly seeing Marders being put in with SU-85's, and KV's with Object 704's.

Has Wargaming.net screwed with the matchmaking system recently, or am I have the worst string of luck ever?

Matchmaking has always been wonky. Just be sure to pack HE and you can make lots of cash damaging tanks of much higher tiers. It can be a blessing in disguise.

The Marder thing is odd, to be sure, but the KV's have always been put in matches way higher than it can usually handle. The KV does alright though because of its two derp cannons and the 107. Good credit machine though.

But the matchmaking system has always been broken, I think the last time it was patched was around the 0.4.3 area during beta.

Just asking; How is WOT an MMO, and not just an fps with tanks?

Lol I agree. Ruskies will try to convince you of anything if it makes their technical achievement look more impressive. And their Guinness World Record is for most players on one server just laughable.
