Simple question really - are there any android apps available that would allow me to keep track of my characters etc?

I use EVEUniverse for the Iphone. You can see your contracts, marketinfo, fittingtool, ability to browse fittings on battleclinic and offcourse you are able to check your skills.

Not sure if it is available for Andriod tho.

Try Aura or EVENova. Through Aura is more polished as it been around longer than EVENova. Then again that's a personal opinion.

Try them both anyway.
