First of all it is broken at the corners, which makes it harder to read than the old expanded font.
Secondly it scales wrong. At UI scale 90% it becomes so wrongly rendered it's scrambled and unreadable.

I have mine in UI 90% works perfectly well and is very readable on my screens.

Blah blah wah wah new font isn't purdy nuff, it's not shiny silver and metallic like I expected the surrealistic, futuristic version of my private Eve to be, boohoo. Stfu. It's legible, not the migraine-inducing crap we had before. Nuff said.

I can read chats on both screens of two PCs.
At 52, with varifocals, you have to get the screen in the right place to read stuff, this is much much better.
For those who haven't got this yet, by the time you hit 45-50, you will, readable fonts FTW

New font + 90% Scaled UI + my ancient 32'' LCD that does 1280x1024 makes me a very happy panda. I almost feel like im playing on a proper monitor again and I can fit more useful and clear information into the same space as before.

All hail the new font and scalable UI.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

Less likely to misspell the name of a character or system when announcing war targets and destinations in fleet comms.

To make everyone happy they should just make it so you can select which font you want ever thing to be displayed in. I'm not much of a programmer but I would assume that such a change would be easy.

The new font's generally fine. What is most important, is legibility.
I'll take legibility anyday over style - hands down, no contest.

Yes, of course, the issues with scaling/sizing/clarity needs to be addressed - they haven't gotten it pat down quite right yet. The thing that sets people off (unconciously perhaps) is probably the "slashed" zero - the rest of the font resembles Comic Sans (which I have no issues and couldn't care less).

It was certainly an eye strain the first time, now, after several hours, they've both adapted.

I can now read most things easily. I somehow like the scaleability.
Maybe it is because i do use glasses :) For me it is more eye relaxing now.

I have my U at 90% and the font set to 12 point and it is damn near perfect fr the menus. Chat is more readable at more font sizes and the ability to tell S from 5, O from 0 and G from 6 is damn near priceless.

Ignore the Font haters. I like to watch them rage.

It is better readable then the old and I *finally* can see the difference between 8-B, 0-O, 1-I and so on.

Besides, I just played for an hour and I almost forgot that it was new.
