AAAAND, that's not even getting into activities like Planetary Interaction, which can make a sizable income without even undocking more often than once a week.

OR Moon mining... a completely AFK activity, Resource rich moons being one of the causes of nullsec Wars, and Moon income providing one of the big attractions for owning nullsec territory!

....So yeah, your "AFK is eeeeevil" bullshit needs to stop...... OR go play a game where you cannot 'skill up' while watching TV... like WoW....

logged out != afk

when you are logged out you enter a state of supreme safeness that's applied 100% evenly to everyone in that state, everyone trains skills in queue and is not subject to the events in the sandbox

when you are logged in you are subject to the rules of the game as dictated by the sandbox and its participants. going afk is a personal decision with obvious repercussions, the same thing can't be said of being logged out, where you can only effect a single personal skill and not the universe in general.

sure you can argue that a trained skill gives you better stats, but you have to be logged in and ATK to use them and effect the universe and even then, if you never play you can have all the skills in the world and still be ****, i see noobs with character bazaar toons do it every day

Still on the subject of bumping which is such an important tool in hi-sec freighter ganking . I have another suggestion .

While undocking at a station in a freighter I had to rub my eyes in disbelief as an NPC hauler went right through my freighter and came out the other side ! No damage and no bump !
The reason I mention this is to make it clear that such a thing is possible . It happened there and can be made to happen again to protect a ship that has woefully little protection right now .
A freighter might also be able to carry a mod designed to do the same thing .

BTW please don't , tiresomely , tell me again about freighters carrying too much expensive cargo as if you seriously believed it would stop a hi-sec ganking team , drunk on their own power , from blowing up the ship . It's been proven false ! One of the glorious kills made by CODE had a load of tritanium and the J/F they got was empty .
