With the bastion module my pith fit Kronos seems quite invincible. It has 2k DPS with bastion active. I do have a RR alt. Do you guys think I could solo a C4? I have near perfect Marauder skills. Any tips?

Nope, your good. No need to bring an alt. I can confirm C4 sites are soloable in Marauders.

Seeing as though marauders can solo c5's i'm sure a kronos could solo a c4 when properly fit.

Though is fitting it with blasters you may have some range problems.

Also a RR alt doesn't help when bastion is active so there is no point to having one.

train RR alt to fly maruader & then run double for extra safety.

Obviously I know bastion negates RR, but it's easy to turn off and receive RR.

Thanks everyone.

I tried a Kronos on the test server. While it worked I found it to be a complete pain in the rear.

Just watch out for the quad safeguard wave on C4s - everything else should be fairly managemeable in a C4 with a decent fit Kronos.

I run some sites in a C6 solo in a paladin. Not to the finish obviously, but to about mid-way.

So a C4 should be no problem at all.

Try on test server see how it goes.

The problem in C4's is the range. With rails your dps is meh. But with blasters you waste time trying to mid on top of them only to have half of them burn out of range while you kill the other half

Aka it works but it's annoying

With Kronos you are better fitting for gank over tank and speed running C3's. The ranges there are manageable with blasters. I would love to see your 2k dps fit, mine only has 1400dps.

Confirming a kronos can solo all c4 anomalies. Would not advise soloing the relic/datas. Recommend rails or saving a warp-in. 2 NOS and a 7500m smartbomb. Cap booster will protect your anus for the triple upholder wave, and let you fit damage rigs.

As Christopher AET said, speed running c3's will get you about the same isk/hr, but we typically have a group, so c4's save time on waiting out bastion cycles/warp time.

Source: I run a c4-c4 corp.

I've used a Vargur to solo C4's and it doesn't have any trouble tanking the sites. As Derath said, range is a factor and with the AC's on the Vargur, I tend to have to use barrage to hit the far orbiting battleships, so I can't imagine it being much fun with a blaster boat, and probably even less fun with a rail platform (which is why I went with the Vargur over the Kronos).

One of our other guys runs a dual Rattlesnake set up. If you're dualboxing, it's cheaper and faster than running a marauder with redundant RR.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I knew range would be a problem when I posted. I'm going to find a way to squeeze in a MJD because off the top of my head I think Null hits to 40km or something like that.
