Why would you want to erase such a boring killboard?

Lost a shuttle in NullSec.

Wow.

I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

Well, it is a discussion forum after all. We're not here solely to answer all your silly questions.

Had you posted a real question without false assumptions, there would've been fewer popcorn posts.

Isn't "self-masturbatory" redundant?

Yeah, but only when the other killboards are down. Every single day.

I prefer having no killboards at all over having to use BCs terrible UI.

Assuming this is actually your killboard there's nothing to be ashamed, or concerned about, therefore no reason to have this information removed. Focusing on killboard stats will cause you to burn out or stop taking risks entirely, and will make for a stressfull and probably not enjoyable playing experience. If you are really concerned about it and deadset on having no killboard stats to your name, your only recourse is to roll a new character and start over.

This is my main's kb yes, I've been spending a lot of time and isk in the game and getting tons of losses. Im also a sore loser but a very competitive player, and most likely too much ...

So thanks for the uplifting comment. I appreciate it. ;)

But wait! buy now and we'll toss in tin foil braces to keep The Mittani from recieving transmissions from the fake teeth he had implanted in your mouth for only 50M ISK per month!

the second-best kind of drivel. the best kind is to have a REALLY good friend handy.

personally I've always thought that battleclinic, etc didn't have a "full TQ API", merely run off character APIs.

could be wrong, though.

Hello Machimpy.

You're clearly trolling BC by posting this question on these boards. I'm also rofl'ing that you want a serious answer rather than using BC's contact page to ask your question. But, you've asked a question about our site, so here we go:

Nariya Kentaya gave you the correct answer.

And allow me to expand on that answer:

First, any kill you’re involved in isn’t yours alone; it belongs equally to another player or players. And those players want their stats posted. This means you don’t have exclusive ‘ownership’ in the kill or the kill record (whether you're the victor or victim). Removing your "combat record" therefore changes someone else's standings and results. Second, many popular killboards allow people to automate killmail collection via CCP's API. Our board and others make no provision for screening these results, so even if we (unfairly) removed a killmail, it would eventually reappear. Third, those kills migrate to individual pilot, corp, and alliance boards; these killboards often allow interlinking between them, so again, your killmails will likely resurface.

Instead of wasting your time trying to remove your record, may we offer some different strategies? If you're worried about your kill hitting the top of search results, one idea for handling this type of concern is to “bury” your search results by adding content of other types, such as contributing to popular social networks and personal blogs. The more your name shows up in popular content like tweets or other social media, the lower your eve killmail record will go on the search pages.

Of course, if you are simply uncomfortable with a losing record in the game, you can improve your standings by winning more fights.

I've been reading through the EULA, and there doesn't seem to be any mention of kill information giveaway to Battleclinic ?

Or am I missing a text ?

http://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/eve-eula/

If not, then in the absence of a specific rule about that, whom could I contact to have my kill information erased from Battleclinic boards ? Or at the very least, all impending kill information ?

Thanks

Personally I don't get on with Battleclinic killboards or for that matter any of the other areas on the Battleclinic site. I haven't manage to fathom how to add kills to it plus a while back, over a year ago I got a cyber attack/Trojan from the site so I recommend not using it. In addition the fiitings for ships that others put on there are mostly awful. In short it's a poor website. If you want decent killboards EVE Kill & ZKillboard are linked together and are much better looking and user friendly.

Back to your original OP. CCP apparently doesn't like killboards but they let us use them. There is an article on the 'Mittani' site which you can look up at your leisure. It would be nice if CCP designed an in-game fitting tool and killboard for us but it probably won't happen. Instead they would rather do things like messing up refining and loot reprocessing. Oops - I ranted. Smile

Erm. Back to your OP again. Yes. In PvP there are usually at least two pilots fighting and there will usually be a winner & a loser. If one side chooses to add individual kills/losses to a killboard or submit their API to a killboard and have all their fights listed there is sadly not anything you can do about it.

Depending on what you want to do in EVE Online a low profile can be a favourable option. Shouting your mouth off on the forums and/or giving out info on your in-game activities, getting wardecced/high bounties, or having expensive ship losses posted on killboards can attract all kinds of space scum to your door.

In short you act in a way to keep a low profile but if you cack-up and fill a T1 industrial with 100 million ISK of cargo and get it blown up you will advertise yourself as a likely target. I hope this is of use to you. Smile

Fairly straighforward mate. Find the killmail link and paste it to the site, or enter your API. Over 2,000 new players do it each month.

No, you did not. You got served with a link / request to redirect that was surreptitiously placed by an advert. We fired the agency responsible for this within 24 hours and we have filters that prevent this from happening now. Other sites like Massively, TTH, etc got hit with the same problem.

Bethan Le Troix wrote:

Your opinion is your own, but it's in the minority. We serve over 4 million pageviews a month. Additionally, I'm confused about this statement. Are you looking for a list of win-fits? Because that's not the purpose of BC loadouts. The value of any loadout must be described in comments and conversation because the efficacy of the loadout is dependent on the role the pilot wishes to play, skills and modules available relative to costs, etc.

As to UI, Is there room for improvement on BC's site? Yes and we are addressing this.
