General Questions

1. How do the ships break/slow down?
2. Why arent we attracted back to a planet standing still at 4000kms from it?
3. How does your capsule fakes the sounds, if it doesnt know how it would sound, since it never sounded, cause theres no sound in space?
4. Why are stations stationary, if supposedly they are orbiting the planet?
5. How do POSes arent attracted back to the moon? Or are they orbiting it supposedly?

Im sure theres a lot other questions on physics in this game, but I was chilling in space around a planet and thought of these real quick.

I wonder.

Im pretty sure weve all discussed this before, and the vast majority decided on "Magic" being the answer.

Stop looking for realistic answers in a Fictional Fluid Universe Space Submarine Game.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

There you go, thinking again. How many times?

"Locus finis"

No. No. That didn't work.

"Exercisis mortem"

No. No. That didn't work

"Arresto totalis"

That got it.

Pretty sure fake Latin is the reason.

1. The hulls, being made of tritanium are affected greatly by space dust, creating a very similar effect to wind resistance.

2. Ships are designed to automatically prevent you fro crashing into planets.

3. All sounds are simulated from the sounds generated through the hulls of ships, recorded then uploaded to your neural net.

4. They are not, when on grid with a celestial body you are merely in it's relative location, and move relative to the body.

5. Same as above.

Really though.

1. It's a game.
2. It's a game.
3. It's a game.
4. It's a game.
5. It's a game.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

as for #3, watch the matrix.

the amtrix doesnt know how chicken tastes, or any meat for that matter. so it approximated a taste, and made minor tweaks to it for other meats which it assumed must be similar. but for all the people in the matrix know, what they consider the taste of chicken and meat could be the taste of carrots to everyone outside.

the pod makes a fictional approximation, it doesnt "have" to sound like the sound really would, just be believable enough to accomplish its goal, nad thats providing sensory information to an organic brain to prevent insantity

1, Your ship's warp core does it.
2, Automatic orbit correction by your ship.
3, Ships simulate the sound to help make things make sense for your weak human brain.
4, Because it would cause huge amounts of server load and screw bookmarks constantly. Same for planets.
5, Orbit, see 4.
