T3 cruisers, which is best for small fleet warfare

Getting into a t3 soon and was wondering which to choose. Only ship I am reluctant to fly is the Amarr Legion due to my lack of any laser skills. From what I’ve heard the Proteus has an amazing dPS and good buffer (but it’s a blaster boat….), the Tengu is a massive walking tanking machine, and the Loki has decent utility subsystems (like the increased web range). If there are any t3 pilots that have experience with their ships please let me know your views on the different t3s. Thanks.

I'm not the most experienced T3 pilot out there, but the Tengu and Loki both have their uses in small gangs, with the Loki being more-less the T3 ideal; it doesn't do the most DPS (Sleipnir and Cane are ahead), it isn't the fastest or most agile (Stabber Fleet and Vaga out match it), definitely doesn't have the best tank, and the recon bonus is underwhelming without pimp (25km non-linked, T2 webs) but the way you can have these in the same package makes it really awesome.

The Tengu is basically everything good about the Drake made better in pretty much every way. More DPS, faster with a 100MN AB or 10MN MWD, tankier (buffer or active), smaller sig, more range, higher sensor strength, etc.

Don't pick the legion because frankly, it's pretty ****** as far as t3's go, imho it's the worst of them all.
Pick a tengu, loki or proteus, don't bother with the legion, it's just a VERY expensive zealot with a bit more tank. Just look at the covert ops bonus on it to see the real picture (whichever dev that picked the laser cap use bonus should be forced to fly only a cov ops legion for the rest of his life). Sad to see you'r better off fitting ACs on it and get a LOT extra grid left over for neuts and tank.
