Gallente activities closer to the Battle of Luminaire Memorial Day

I've been deployed in Minmatar Space recently but I took a lazy Sunday afternoon cruise through the Essence Region. Long story short, I docked in one of my frequented stations in Algogille for some business that came up and noticed something new.

A new agent from The Federation Navy had been posted there. Curious, I had a small chat with him and he asked if I could transport some VIPs to Luminaire just next door for a reasonable sum. Annoyed, but not one to pass up easy ISK, I complied.

The VIPs themselves were a pompous bunch and if it was a longer trip I may have "accidentally" triggered the jettison sequence on their lounge module in my cargo hold. Regardless, once they had departed my ship, a second Fed Navy agent who I have never seen before approached me in a rush and asked if I'd be willing to deploy several Marines to a different neighbouring system as a precaution.

His exact words: "Our generals.. have requested an enormous amount of ground troops in preparation for a possible encounter with the Caldari Navy."

It got me wondering if these are to do with the upcoming Battle of Luminaire Memorial in a few days.

My agent locator database does not show these new agents and If I am indeed right, I was wondering if there is any information from Caldari Loyalists or sightings of new Caldari Agents across the border? I'd like to speak with them and investigate this further...for research of course.

I am not aware of any such operation, nor would I be inclined to discuss said operation if it did, indeed, exist.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

There are numerous 'low-level' operations at any one time, some of which are contracted out to capsuleers through the agency system. These include the relocation of vagrants, destruction of opposing naval elements (piratical and signatory) and the movement of troops.

It is likely that instead of being related to the upcoming event, you have been sub-contracted to perform a task of worth to a given organisation. I would not worry too much about any form of international incident or the likes - these agency contracts are so common that there is barely a rumble about them in foreign policy discussions in my experience. It is, after all, a big cluster.

Perhaps it was just coincidence? Due to the factionwarzones, there is alot of troop movement, especially since now the Dust groundforces have joined this conflict.

I've done some manual searching focused on Caldari Navy Stations close to the border such as in Haatomo and elsewhere with no luck. However during a opportunistic pursuit of a hostile capsuleer, I managed to find one of these newer Agents in New Caldari in a Chief Executive Panel station.

The subsequent conversation with the agent had me transporting infantry weapons to a Kaalakiota Station closer to the Gallente Border.

Unfortunately, recent CONCORD database updates archiving Jovian ships has caused my flight recorder to randomly lose track of the exact stations of their locations I had noted for this research.

Perhaps... Although I'll be keeping a presence in the region to observe and continue research until the Luminaire commemoration.

If two transport runs have you this paranoid, suuolo, the everyday logistics of a single CalNav squadron would have you holed up in a bunker. Movements of men and materiel along a hostile border and idle chitchat that they likely knew would be overheard doesn't really add up to anything special.

Probably, ms. Ymladris.
It's not like Gallente are unfamiliar with the strategies of a surprise attack though. I mean, didn't you just get that station repaired?

I have been freelancing in caldari space for a while now, i know there is currently a war, but i have heard rumours of peace, perhaps we are preparing for an unexpected assault from a new enemy?

I didn't mean to sound paranoid suuolo. I'm just reporting findings that attract my curiosity. Those more experienced in such things such as yourself may brush it off but I'm suspicious of coincidence.

Statements such as this are what I'm talking about, Falken-haani. Whispers, rumours, implications, subtleties. I keep a cautiously optimistic and open mind. Tomorrow is when the Luminaire Memorial takes place and already you see the News Feeds light up with stories of Ishukone cosying up to the Federal Senate.

Imagine the worst case scenario here, something along the lines of perhaps...Ishukone joining the Federation. That would be something really unexpected for those who may not recognize the signs. For those who do, however, there's potentially a lot someone can do with information like that. Expect the best. Plan for the worst.

That would be something. But it won't happen they would be risking losing all there assets in the State, all other megas would divide them betwen them.

Okay. I follow the reasoning, and agree.
