The subject says it all

Combine all novelties into the normal isk based economy.

If you really need more currencies, then make multiple ones. Allow alliances to create a currency and allow people to use/buy that currency in an alliance controlled station or trade depot.

Yep. Aurum is just a manageable (and trackable) way to break PLEX down into smaller units... and to also facilitate eventual economic cross over with DUST.

I think the NEX system is fine as it is. It creates no conflict with ISK- all of the aesthetic "premium content" that you get through the NEX is available on the market and purchasable with ISK as long as anyone is selling it.

The NEX is a neat little feature that lets CCP generate a bit more income from their game, helping them further improve and/or ruin EVE for our gaming pleasure.

Removing the NEX would take away any income potential this system gives CCP and would also mean having to create hundreds of new NPC orders to keep these "just-for-shinies" available in the game, making it pretty much pointless for players to try and sell these items. You could offset the latter drawback by making them only available through LP stores, but that wouldn't change the fact that CCP would lose income from removing the NEX, since AUR is only available by converting PLEX, which must be purchased with real currency to enter the game and market.

The system makes sense, doesn't harm the players, and is an overall benefit to CCP.

I disagree. I'd like to get rid of the Nex and have CCP just use Plex. Make all items in game from loot drops etc. Fine to make some things ridiculously high LP and isk so that they are really rare and trade for prices in the billions of isk. People who need to buy more isk are free to do so via Plex. CCP are free to magic Plex out of thin air to help manage the EVE economy against the pressure of out of game currency.
The Nex is simply killing game development and makes me sad.

Well, if you make these items suddenly worth billions, the average player is going to fnd it hard to justify buying it, which kills the market for these things. and if you just use plain plex how are you oing to buy the items that dont' cost a whole plex, including some of the new ship skins?

Apparently the nex store is having a revamp this year and might be totally out of game, we'll just have to wait and see.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

How is the NEX killing game development?
The only feasible impact I can imagine the system having on the development process is taking time away from the art team to work on other things, which wouldn't really generate income (and future development options) for CCP anyways.

If you want to pay ISK for the stuff, go to Jita and just buy it off the market?

Personally, I'd rather see the NEX expanded to give us something interesting to buy.
