I would never accept a 50 million ISK ransom on a hulk. Well, I would, but then I would still kill you anyway. And pod. Because lowballing.

Your fitting prices are far to high.
I have fitted many Covetors and I do not spend 45 millions on the fitting. And not ~220 millions on a hulk fit.
The Orca price I assume is the total price for the Orca and it looks ok.

Mainly because I know from experience that 90% of Hulks drop under 20m in loot.

I'd possibly negotiate the 50m upward though, and during negotiations, accidents can happen.

I am quite sure that you can kill people even in hisec if they link Bieber in chat. CONCORD just looks the other way...

You are clearly not AFK- good for you!

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Thats very true. Well If I would go to low or null sec to mine I wound not fit a hulk for ~230 million. A 10-20 million Covetor fit sounds much better if not a tanked Procure. But then again I have seen strange fittings here.

Right time for another post then.

Since we last talked I have moved half of my characters to a wormhole where me and some friends have set up a POS.
This have been very profitable have increased my projected income to about 4 billions per week which is always nice, I have also started a PvP character to get into PvP. Its going slow but so far I have run tackling and we took down a Stratios that was missioning in our wormhole. A Proteus, a Condor and a Rifter attacked him. With my MWD I was on top of him in a few seconds and got him pointed and webbed. The Proteus did short work of him while the Rifter assisted in some drone removal.
We had a lot of fun, the Proteus pilot was experienced while me and the Rifter was completely new to it.

We also had 2 stealth bombers come in and blow me up at a mining site, I was ransomed for 50 millions for them to go away but they did not honor the ransom so we just stayed in the shield as we were managing some manufacturing. I was a bit disappointed that BRAVE pilots would not honor such an agreement but then again its EvE and I only lost about 80 millions total which I made back in about 2 hours in my other Retriver. But I was slightly annoyed at the explanation I got for why they did not honor the agreement it was because they were bored.

Ransoms should always be honored, in my opinion. Congratulations on turning over a new leaf or two!

I've spent years reading about eve before I started to attempt to play it. http://everevolutionaryfront.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/haedonism-bot-mentors-new-player.html Is just one example of something I've read over and over again.

Don't pay ransoms, they arent honoured. Attempts at elicting ransoms should be considered an attempt to scam and draw forth more tears to nourish and sustain your killer with their salty goodness. Yummy tears mmhmmm Im hungry Twisted

Well that will be a problem since I never give tears. I am always polite. I even told him that it was a good scam from him. But I do not rage or cry. I pay ransoms when I believe there is a chance for someone to honor them. Most of the time they do but there are a few people that make me want to selfdestruct rather then pay them. I have the conversation at home and I have his permission to post it with his name so I will do that when I get home.

Well if your looking for a newb who has struggle scanning her way to a gas anamoliy in a tutorial, I wouldnt mind trying out that wormhole with you. Out of respect for your cool posts though, I wont ever insult you by offering ransoms if we end up at cross swords.

Throw me a mail in game and we can talk.
I noticed that gas sites have NPC's spawn after a while. I was very thankful for the MWD on my Venture to get out of harms way and the Medium shield extender :P

Cool story bro,

I am happy you found some players who kept their word. You got lucky. In most cases a pirate will take your ransome money then blow up your ship.

Hopefully positive karma keeps flowing your way.

And I am back once more, this time with a story about a wonderful "awoxer" with a great name.

So I am in a small corp with some friends and this wonderful person from the lovely country of Canada joins us, of course claiming to be completely new and such.
The directors takes him in and he seems all nice and such even if he does not have a mic so her can't join in on the banter over TS. So a few days pass and the directors announce that we will do a mining op. Foolish as I am I fly my own orca and I decide to have one account on each of my two screens. My Orca on one and my Mack on the other, this was my first mistake.
So we mine as we usually do and all is going well, I do not pay much attention to the second screen since its just my Orca just outside the station so I don't have to do anything right? Oh how wrong I am and how stupid I was for not looking at that screen.
All of the sudden I hear the sound of hybrid turrets in my headset, I look over to my Orca and that bastard have bumped me out with a Machariel and is shooting me down with a Gnossis. Well little I can do I accept the fact that I will blow up, slightly annoyed at it but little to do. I jump my Mack back to station so I do not loose that at least. But I got podded in the meantime.
I ask our nice friend why he did it and I get the reply "Because you had it."

The part that made me laugh was the fact that I had commented on his characters name which I thought was very close to *insert European language* for "Wife murderer" or "Brother murderer" so that was quite clever of him and I saw that he was in a new corp now. So best of luck to you! I hope that you will try it again, next time I will be ready for you!

So was I upset? Honestly, a little.
Did I rage? Not at all, its EvE it happens.
What did I get most upset about? That I had not changed my clone and had to jump 38 jumps.

The total loss was about 170 million. Since it was insured I lost only the insurance cost, the difference in what I got back from what a new one cost, my implants that was only +3 and a clone upgrade.

What did I learn?
If you fly your own Orca, pay attention to it and do not assume that everyone in your corp is all nice and friendly. If it gets blow up because you did not pay attention to the screen its only your fault.

[note] I will post a the killmail when I get home. [/note]

Actually the lesson you should have learned is that your new corp is bad at eve and lets in awoxers. Its stories like this that make me glad I have no friends.

Well to their defense, it was a brand new account that looked clean. Its hard to defend against awoxers when accounts are so cheap. Plus I rather have a few ships blow up if that means that I don't play EvE alone. What makes this game great is the groups of people doing things together. Does not matter if its mining, PvE, PvP or whatever.
