Why do I have to wait every day 30 minutes to login to EVE?

Comparing an MMO where tens of thousands of people interact with their myriad configurations of systems in common space to a car.
Okay.

Ummm Okay. You just made some l33t car manufacturers very upset with their simple trivial configurations.

Umm... no, it means that as we learn about broken things and get feedback and make fixes, then we deploy those fixes.

Thirty minutes a night... If that. I rarely have to wait more than fifteen, compared to hours to an entire day (I'm looking at you TOR...) lost for patching?... It's one of the things I happen to LIKE about EVE. Short downtimes, even if they're nightly.

um, no.

More like me being a messy *******.

I could spend five minutes every day cleaning up and things would look awesome.

Or I could do what I always do and leave it for a long time and then have one, LOOOONG cleanup day.

Personally I'm glad CCP cleans up their game better than I clean up my room.

What a refreshingly original and not-at-all-flogged-to-death-over-and-over-again-in-the-past-few-weeks topic this is!

Also, how many pieces of software do you know of that are released perfect with no bugs?

Thats what happens to my Lancia Stratos.

Can't say I have a problem getting her fixed everyday when its a Lancia effing Stratos I drive.

Enjoy your Ford or Chrysler or whatever

I get the feeling you are either trolling, or have no idea of the process of running a huge game like a MMO and just general knowledge about software.

And since apparently, it takes you 30 minutes to patch the hotfixes that comes with the game, I have the feeling that it unfortunately might be the later.

Just know this... CCP is doing a mighty fine work of trying to keep their software fixed with constant patches. Just upgrade your system or your internet, and you shouldn't have to wait 30 for small hotfixes.

You got quite an army of asskissers here, but regardless... "learning about broken things" after the release is the poor release management. I assume you have QA and Staging environment. They should have helped preventing entire nullsec losing their standings for a day or 2. It's pretty easy visual error to catch that left game unplayable for a while. Anyways I didn't mean this discussion to be dragged that far. When I have about ah hour to play waiting every day for 15-30 mins for the patch to download is the frustrating experience.

I would not mind the patching that much, but during each patch the darn launcher forgets everything and I have to enter account info, set language and even nod to the stupid EULA again.

Thank god there's EXEfile.
