It's not CCP's fault, it's your CEO's fault, and you for tolerating an unreliable one-man leadership structure.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Same deal for in game channels. If someone creates one and leaves the game, that channel is done.

The FIX is to get THAT GUY THAT'S NOT COMING BACK .. to come back.

So .. *GOLF CLAP* to CCP policies.

This.

Don't feel the rush to join a corporation without first understanding continuity. This notion of putting timers on a CEO based on how long since they were logged in last does not take into consideration those who may not have the opportunity to login for x number of days (e.g. military members being deployed on short notice. And by 'short' I mean like 30 minutes.).

They will not do it if the CEO has an active account, regardless of actual activity.

Hi all thank you all for your comments I appreciate you all for posting here. I do have access with in the corp have my own department. Also the CEO we had was a really good guy he was on every single day and it seemed like all was well for almost a year. I really have no problem with the prints being locked down as I want to share them to members anyways. The problem is that I can't lock down new prints and I can't expand the corp with out that ability. I have 600 US invested here in BPO's it would be a shame not to be able to have new member whom can benefit from them as well.

The best way for CCP to fix this issue would be to allow anyone with a role to add a print and lock it down Via their own private password. So that in the future in the event the CEO does not come back it doesn't mean the end for a corp and to all whom invested in this corp. The same password would also be able to unlock said BPO.

Please anyone with experience bring change to Eve please help me out and link your ideas here or new Thread in the right location.

Thank you all.

Not only are you bumping a post within 24 hours of inadvertently bumping it by answering questions, but you are bumping in a forum that doesn't even allow bumps, not to mention the fact that a bump must consist of more than the word 'bump' in order for it to be a legitament bump. To top it all off you aren't even posting a topic like this in the right subforum!

If you expect CCP to even consider your ideas without paying attention to even the most basic of forum rules, then you have another thing coming.

35 days to remove a CEO? Are you kidding me?

No.

Just....no.

It sucks that you invested a lot into the corp, but it's not YOUR corp. it's your CEO's corp. And anything put into the corp hangars and locked down belong to the Corp. As soon as it is put into the Corp Hangars, these items no longer belong to you. If you didn't realize this, it's nobody's fault but your own. You may have bought them, but they are now the Corporation's property.

The CEO sounds like a pretty smart guy, not handing out shares so he could be summarily removed from his leadership position in a corp that, it sounds like, he put a lot of work into building up. Now, it sounds like he's having IRL stuff or he got bored with EVE.

I have submitted a Ticket and they Told me to post here. If enough people become aware of this and support this Group, Change can happen. They told me basically there is nothing that can be done. I know thats crap because they have the power to do whatever they want. The whole reason I am in the mess is because they Spawned free stuff for Somer Blink Group. For hosting Eve Las Vegas. My Ceo thought this was favoritism and he has played this game for 4 plus years and basically felt this was unfair to all players of Eve. As a result he left the game and has not returned since.

An honorable ceo would have chosen a successor to run the Corp after he left. Your ex ceo sounds like a total **** and deliberately damaged the ability of his Corp mates to have fun without him. This has nothing to do with somer blink.

As a community we're all better of without him.

Kudos to you for stepping up to the plate and trying your best to keep the corp running.

If you ever want it, there's a place for a good man like you in my alliance.

Best of luck getting a change from ccp.

Think of it differently.

You go away on a once in a lifetime holiday for 3 months and you come back and all your stuff has been stolen because someone in your corp has tripped the corp and all your stuff away from you :P

I am suggesting that CCP allows everyone that has a role in the corp to lockdown their own BPO's with Their own passwords so that in the event this happens its not the end for a corp. Also worst case is that you unlock your BPO's and move on. It's a simple way to make the current system better.

while a game mechanic would be usefull it's hardly worth the dev time untill a corp overhaul is started and it can be incorporated, the problem is pretty rare.

in my experience AWOL CEO's can be replaced by a director or spokesperson of the corp after a month, just petition the problem after sufficient time has passed.

your ticket to the GM's likely proposed a change, which they always deflect to the forum

ask them to remove the CEO and promote somebody else in the corp instead, they will either comply or outline the requirements

Players have been asking for corporation role and authority changes since corporations were founded. Maybe you will be the straw that breaks the camels back; but it will probably be the next person.

Good luck on your Crusade.

This thread has been moved to features & ideas discussion.

In the mean time I would advice you to file a support ticket, kindly explaining the situation as clear as possible. CCP has been known to have helped out people in similar situations in the past, although of course that can not be taken as guarantee, as each case will be judged on its own merits and circumstances.

Good luck!

I have sent a support ticket and they told me to post here to make changes possible in the future. The reply I got back from CCP was that it wasn't something he had the power to do. So in game rules stop him from making an executive move. My CEO has been AWAL for over 6 months now. I am not saying even 6 months is enough time but surely after 1 year something can be done. I would like CCP to add the ability to share your prints with corp mates with out the risk of this happening. It's as simple as allowing each person the ability to lock their prints down with their own password and then the same process for unlocking it.

And yet, a thread necro is against the rules, and could get you your thread locked.
