How VR could make EVE awesome

Look at that video
those HUD's the capsuleers have are just awesome looking
it could turn the UI from a windows 2K-esque look to a awesome sci fi look
why isn't CCP doing much with VR? There's so much potential

I think WiS is a novelty at best

All i can imagine is how much extra "screen space" i can get.

All i can imagine is somebody you get interested in EVE, puts on the ehadset, gets this Ghost in The Shell cyber-interface looking view of everything, totally immersed, thinks its the best thing since bacon and toast, then they see local.

nothing cool could ever get potentially new fans a nerd boner as long as the plague that is "local" hangs around, between spam and general unpleasant behaviour it promotes, NO one would want it shoved into a 4th of their vision all day.

I hate that cinematic trailer. I suppose you could argue that it's a vr projection from within the capsule interface, but i don't like it. I am a purist, pod goo for ever.

Plus it makes eve look twitch based which is selling the wrong idea.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

I still dare to dream of the day when EVE's Hardware (and Software ofc.) will be advanced enough to make a VR based mix of twitch gameplay and classic eve gameplay possible.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

even in a windowless pod! with several monitors the ideas are endless and it just gives me a idea of what Eve online, dust 514, and valkrie will be in 10 years the new eden universe is going to be more real then reality as they say lol

oh i cant remember the name of the book but, there was this news guy that wanted to deliver news to the other side of the planet instantly. so they used these newly discovered micro worm holes? or something like that. that they could send video or data.

i just woke up and came here first :) first thing that came to my head :D
