Since the first skins are out now, I would like to make a request to bring the old navy mega(pitch black metallic with blue windows) paint job back. I always disliked the jungle camo in space and the ship was damn sexy back in the days in black.

that looks rather similar to a vindicator - without having a window open.... have opened a window - VERY SIMILAR!

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

Well the old Vindicator had a lighter black colour scheme slightly drifting into green and no metallic finish with green windows. The navy mega was just pitch black metallic(zero camo on it) with light blue windows.

That's better. I think the camouflage pattern is fine - it just needs different colors that lend themselves more to the Gallente.

I just wnat all space camo's gone. We can start here though.

Not sure who they consulted on this but....camo works really good when mixed with moving really really slow or not moving at all. 1 sniper is prone and has not moved for a while. You won't see him. Another sniper is doing 100 meter dashes back and forth. He is sticking out like a sore thumb no matter how good his ghillie suit is setup.

Agreed, camo sucks chubby and needs removing.

It looks fairly decent on the Minmatar ships.

To a certain extent, yes, but in the end, the camo over-all does not look right. Even if these ships were landing on planets - the camo patterns do not universally work.

The patterns don't make sense given the environment these ships operate in.

Camo is meant to make the ship harder to visually distinguish from the surroundings, but visual spotting is not a factor in normal EVE combat. Maybe if all navy ships received a cloaking bonus it might make more sense.... what would be more interesting would be if the camo actually adjusted color for the surrounding space - this would make better sense for a naval ship that could be powered down and hiding in a debris field.

But yeah, the camo, overall, just does not thrill me.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

To the extent that camouflage currently even plays a roll in even (minor, at best). That would certainly be an interesting twist, provided you could work it into the Overview and D-scan. I'm particularly fond of the updated Caldari Navy camo scheme, though.

Oh good heavens yes... the Caldari Navy scheme is the worst of them.

I think the Caldari pattern is the best, especially because it doesn't take itself seriously as actual camouflage. It's black and white urban style camouflage but really I think the paint job is there because it looks cool.

I never really liked the black + Gray/white(depended a bit on the angle you did look from and light on the ship), but I could agree that this was still a lot more pleasing to the eye than the current camo colour scheme.
