I'm mostly flying around in Logistics ships and I think it's boring when there are blue/green/yellow beams coming out of your ship and not from an actual model that is visible on your hull.

I would like CCP to add ingame models for mods like Remote Armor Repair, Remote Shield Transport or Remote Cap Transfer.

I'm not sure but I think the Tractor Beam doesn't have a model either.

I can't think of any downside to this proposal except for the fact that dhe Art department would have some extra work to do. Blink

What are your opinions?

PS: sorry for the crappy english

Tractor beams and Salvagers have models, but I agree that repair units should have models too.

YES! I was thinking about this the other day actually, smartbombs, maybe an antenna or something for the auto-targeting mod.

Would be pretty cool to be able to see what someone has in utility highs.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

Yes, i totally support this. It will make flying logistic ships a lot more fun.

Nevertheless it doesn't have a high priority, but don't forget it ;)

i'd like all modules to have a visual representation Smile

Just to quote CCP Explorer on twitter about graphic improvements vs. gameplay improvements

Quote:
I'm not sure I follow, both need to improve, one can't be left behind.

So I would really like to see this graphical aspect to improve Smile

This post already got a like from a dev. Big smile

Now we only need more voices in here to show that this is something we want done!

So if you like the idea please say so!

*push*

I want to keep this topic on the front page...

Come on People, who of you doesn't like ship-spinning and is utterly disappointed when you want to look at your Navitas/Burst/Augoror/Scimitar/Obelisk, RR Domis, Nestors...

Or imagine spinning your favorite exploration frig with a visible probe launcher!

It would be cool to see all the little things that make EVE work a bit more.

Hell yeah. That would be great.

Also Neutralizers should be seen as a real model on the ships hull.

I dont like beams coming out of nowhere.

+1 I think all modules, should show on your ship. Armor plating, shield extenders, all could have awesome graphics

I think everything that needs to be said about this idea is said so the only thing left for me is to *push* it to the first page again...

Next idea: remove the rubicon 1.3 stickies...

Just curious, when you say visual affect I think of the "affects" that all ready come from my logi and combat ships. Are you meaning that there should be a logi, neut, nos, ext... hardpoint that the affects come out of? If so do all the ships have enough model hardpoints to support these? I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are a few.

Good idea +1. I'd rather the Dev's focus on finishing tiericide and give us some content. Still, +1.

Just like every turret or missile launcher is visible on your ship I would like to see my (or my enemys) Neuts/Reps/etc on their ship either using an existing hardpoint or maybe creating new ones if necessary

Yes. More intelligence for those willing to spend the time looking. More models coming out of the hulls of the ships. Something that can be added slowly as the art department has time. The only issue is that CCP's ship models would have to have new spots added for those utility high modules. Again it could be part of a long term project so might as well start.
