Old archeology mechanics?

Hey, young capsuleers!

Want to know how did archeology work before Odyssey? You can try it right now - just start the SOE epic arc and get to Doctor Canius, who will give you a mission named "Recovery". There is a container, which never gives you a mini-game, but still uses an old hacking system: target, activate and just wait.

So, why am I writing this? - Dear Devs, please make the world consistent and either include a mini-game in this mission or change the entire goal of this mission. It may be a very tiny thing, but it spoils all epic arc immersion for a newbie.

While I am all for consitency, FULL consistency would include the hacking of the Logistics Controll Array in the OTA Incursion site. ATM one does it either with an Data Analyzer equipped Logi or with an Alt of one of the pilots. With the Hacking game active this would not (as easily) be possible anymore.

So: pro changing the mission in the arc, con the general changing of all hacking containers.

mission containers should just cycle, specific sites should use the minigame

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.
