This is a simple wine wrapper tutorial for EFT. Only took me a few minutes and is extremely simple (yet many mac users are not aware of it).

First, you will need to download Wine and install it on your computer.

Also download the latest version of eft here and un-archive it.
Thanks to Gripen for this great tool!

Open Wine. It will run an initial setup and open a few windows. Change any settings ect. and close the windows. Now in your EFT folder, attempt to run EFT.exe. A dialogue will appear asking whether your would like to bundle the application or run with wine. Select 'run with wine' (or similar, depending on your version of wine) and check "do not ask me again".

It is possible to create a proper wrapper, with added functionality, but it is difficult, and buggy. This method works fine for me.

Many features do not work properly, such as exporting of all fittings to a single file. However, fittings and characters are still saved to the same folders and can be imported/exported manually.

pyfa is another fitting tool which will run native on macintosh.

/edit

This might not fit in this section of the forums... just figured that it should be close to the original EFT posting so people can find it easily :)

I personally use Pyfa on my Mac, it's just as good as EFT (with maybe some features lacking, but better UI IMO).

It would just be easier to download pyfa

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

pyfa is good in some respects, but it doesn't have some features of EFT and seems to be very crash prone on mac.

This is true, I experience crashes once in awhile, not enough to annoy me though.
