This is the price paid on the behalf of heretics such as...

Oswald Bolke...
LUMINOUS SPIRIT...
Wulfgar WarHammer...and
Matogg

...their 'nerf hisec' heresy, my hands, innocent carebear blood.

Only by embracing HTFU can the violence stop, and healing begin.

What is truly despicable Wulfgar, is that you continue your heresies against the inquisitors of HTFU, and refuse to recant your calls for nerfs to hisec.

+1 has been added to the Kill-It-Forward queue in your name, and may God have mercy on your soul for the innocent deaths you continue to cause.

Hats off to TacoMaco who proved exactly what you and your 'code' is worth:

"Oh, yea, such courage on your part, the bravery.....

CONCORD is like a timer, a mini-game if you want, you get 20 sec finish the gank or fail with the DPS. How shall I put in in terms you can understand. Ah, WoW dungeons. If don't have enough dps to kill the boss in 20 sec, it will enrage and one-shot you. Except in Eve the miners don't fight back.

Ganking miners is like WoW PvE, gank in 20 sec or the big bad NPC kills you. Everyone that ganks knows that....

As far as the risk goes, what do you risk exactly? You get podded, get thrown in jail? No. What else, your ship? You risk your ship when there is a chance of escaping. When you loose your ships 100% of the time it's not a risk it's a certainty.

A miner you killed can get a combat ship and splash you but you'll never get that mining-barge out of the kill list as long as the character exists."

..... Just in case you missed that, what you are doing is even more subhuman than PVE in World of Warcraft.Lol

Newbies don't fly Marauders. Almost by definition.

Not like I'm calling anybody a lowbrow who couldn't think their way through a 3rd grade math problem but why stifle the sound when something could be done about the cure if they don't want to hear high sec nerf ideas ? If there's not much problem , there won't be many cries for help .
The big tough high sec ganker who likes to cruise around in fighting ships anyway could just as easily look out for their own best interests and make sure their little ocean doesn't get over fished . They could keep a little list of who has formed up a group , corp or alliance who's main [often only] purpose is to play in the kiddy sandbox and ruin it for the occasional ganker who wouldn't over fish the area .
This is easily done by flagging the professional gankers as either red or orange depending on the level of threat and then either declaring war all the time or even easier , just going to those systems where past kill-boards tell you that that's where they hang out . The cute thing about it is you know who they are and what they are probably up to . The minute they open fire on their intended victim they flash red at you and you can open fire on them with impunity . Bear in mind that once they agro their victim it takes a couple of seconds to focus their weapons on you and these guys aren't big on tanking a ship they intend to loose anyway . Even if CONCORD does show up they treat you as just another ship flying around . Best of all it will slow down organized hi sec gankers because there's no profit [or even fun] in getting ganked before making the kill .
This sort of action would help to quell the calls for hi-sec nerfs and people wouldn't have to feel that they had to swing the sword of God just because people wouldn't "HTFU"

You can already freely attack people with severely negative sec status.

This is far too simple. Get out, and don't come back until you've radically over-engineered a solution and made it so complicated that all I can do is cry on the forum.

Came expecting an Amarrian religious-zealot to be preaching about some mass murder of Matari slaves.

Left unimpressed with the events described, but mildy entertained by OP's writing style.

The reason that there are so many cries for help is that the people crying don't understand the type of game that they're playing. Eve is brutal, it will steal their cookies if they're dumb enough to flaunt them, they should plan accordingly.

They already do, they kill the fishermen who don't have a licence.

It's the gankees who should be doing this, not the gankers. Nobody is going to help someone who can't be bothered to help themselves.

Crimewatch 2.0 would like a word with you, it's already flagging criminals and suspects, it's other people that can't be bothered to do anything about them.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

This is probably the only part of your post that is actually useful, bear in mind that most gankers are already permanently red, you can shoot first if you're paying attention, or GTFO when a swarm of people with red backgrounds appear in local.

If you're engaged with people who are criminally flagged through either sec status or the fact that they just ganked someone, then Concord already treat you as an innocent passerby. It won't slow down suicide gankers any, because it's already the case and they still ply their trade successfully

You wish. People would still be calling for nerfs to highsec ganking even if only one ship a day died to a gank in highsec, because they assume that high security means total security.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yea, this guy is some kind of attention whor.e. Every week he spams the forum with the links to his blog about his mighty achievements. His and his 3 to 7 friends needed for a kill. How good we are, we killed a noob that was too dumb to fall for the can flipping trap.

I already said, when you fail at other PvP games you can come to Eve. Get some similar frustrated players, exploit game mechanics to lure players into Limited combat, exploit combat mechanics(never go after ships that actually hit you) and feel good about your self.

On top of that his character is named after a book character that is literally in the humanity's cesspool. They probably share similar moral views, of course always behind closed doors.

I wonder what would happen if the Eve accounts would be linked to the Facebook accounts or Tweeter accounts like in other games and it would be visible what you actually do.

This is the "problem" from which almost all the crying about this game stems. Because EVE shatters people's stupid assumptions.

When I first read this, I sighed and thought "oh, it's this guy come to tell us how he ganked a couple of mining barges and it's all someone else's fault and he's an elite pvper because of it. yawn"

And that's half true, however I read the blog post and loved it.

1. Very well written and I chuckled more than once.
2. No ganking of barges, but scanning down of mission runners and then some smart negociation to trick them into firing on you. This wasn't picking on a clueless newb, it was picking on players who really ought to understand the concept of tracking by now.
3. You gave the Rattlesnake guy some isk. You didn't just RAWR I KILLED HIM BOW TO ME, you actually had a conscience about it and a nice chat from what I could tell.

It's a refreshing change. Nice work.

There's games where your game account is linked to facebook and twitter?

Please tell us all what they are so that we can avoid them like the plague.

As for visibility, that swings both ways, do you really want all your real life friends knowing that you play a PvP oriented game, and then whine like a spoilt child when PvP happens to you?

Think before you post.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Your tears are delicious to me Tacomaco. What you call 'exploit', I like to call 'knowledge'. Where the real fail here is nerf-hisec carebears of your ilk don't want to earn & learn knowledge in EvE, they want everything bubble-wrap handed to them, to be 100% safe without effort in hisec (while they fly around in piniata Marauders or pirate battleships).

Calling for nerfs to mechanics is heresy against EvE HTFU. +1 has been added to the Kill-It-Forward queue in judgement. Innocent bear deaths, my hands, your conscience.

Quote:

Actually, Feyd Rautha Harkonnen was one generation from being the culmination of the Bene Gesserit's breeding program, a single step away from being a super-being. Had Jessica birthed a female (instead of Paul) to wed to Feyd, their child would have been the Kwisatz Haderach under Bene Gesserit control. Paul's infusion of the water-of-life jump-started said evolution by a generation, usurping Feyd's children of the role of super-dudes. Hardly cesspool.

tl;dr; Feyd was HTFU personified, and didn't need pansy Skyrim-styled shouts to kill his enemies like Paul did. Also, just because Sting played Feyd in the movie Dune, doesn't mean Sting shares Feyd's behavioral traits in RL. Or *does* he?

Delicious...
